Best Friend Love

My heart beats slow.
Waiting and wondering if love will grow.

On a long road that starts with a meeting by chance,
Intertwining lives, together in our dance.

Your path and mine slowly mingles into one,
Together in time till all is done.

You’ve tasted life, still came to me,
I’ve lived a life, and now with thee.

Lessons, learning, heartache and sorrow,
Life of the past will not be the morrow.

My heart, with your heart.
Let them never be apart.

Ceremony, ring, joyfully married,
On with our lives, separate wearied.

Partners, lovers, mates of soul,
You’ll be my best friend till the end toll.

No Flowers In the Field

No flowers in the field
Sadness today
I wear upon my heart a shield

For in this field love grows
No harvest
Why? Only God knows

Each season bears the same
Unharvested love
So you wonder why they came

Could it be that soulmates are for a season?
Don't go
What for, love the reason?

This question to my heart do I ask
When will love stay?
Where from, the love that lasts?

Is it our blindness?
A guard of our heart?
To let love go...it should never part

Wake Me Tomorrow

Wake me tomorrow,
In my peace…
For in this world,
I will not be.

Other shores I pass on to
An enlightened soul, new.

Wake me tomorrow,
In a new realm.
My soul will last,
Far past what I knew.

Wake me tomorrow

Love

Love, the ultimate emotion, sacrifice, gift,
The mover of this earth, causing it’s shift.
Emotion of giving, my heart on this earth,
It’s here for the taking, for whatever it’s worth.

Promises of love from a man’s lips it’s heard,
Heartfelt, real love, that’s the word.
Offer your heart, one truth be given,
That’s what… I’ll be live’n

Truths, beliefs, whispers in the dark,
Share your heart,
Dear love,
To be a part.

I’ve given my heart,
You’ve given yours.
That way we’ll be bound’
In love we’ll be found.

Love, the answer,
Love, the question,
My quest in this life,
To be the emotion.

My Heart Journey

In the depth of the darkness
In the recesses of my soul
As I work and I wonder and I go to and fro
I think and I wake and I wonder and I know

That life where I belong
This life that I wear
Is not of my soul
As I work and I wonder and I go to and fro

To reach my heart I must push past
The quest...my journey, my bliss
The one turn...turn it right to go
I think and I wake and I wonder and I know

My path already made
My soul along it will follow
On this path I'll find my heart
As I work and I wonder and I go to and fro

I think and I wake and I wonder and I know

I Stop To Think of the Souls

I stop to think of the souls,
That move in and out of our life.
Some for a day,
Some for a life.
Some to bring love,
Some to bring strife.

Purpose and meaning,
Truth through being.
Who we are,
Derived from where we have been.
It’s not in this life,
Our souls begin.

Life’s truth is love,
Radiating from the soul.
Outward reaching,
Always seeking.
I stop to think of the souls,
So intertwined,
It must be divine!
