Be Thankful

While it's fun to treat ourselves from time to time;all things are best in moderation.
Don't be rude and materialistic either. When we leave this world, we can't take
our "toys" with us. Just be kind, listen to one another & love. We're all flawed and
scarred in one way or another. And there's no shame in just being an everyday
person. Also,no matter how bad it seems, please remember there is always someone
suffering more. Count your blessings every single day. Learn to laugh at
yourself;find beauty in everything. Never be ashamed of yourself. And of
course, dare to be different. It's okay!

The Flower

Our lives are indeed much like a flower. We can be dainty, soft to the touch and
easily bruised. Some of us are vivid, ornate & unusual. Others, simple and small. In
the days of warmness, we shall thrive and bloom. In the cold,we lie dormant;still but
not dead. If given the proper attention, we shall all last a number of years. And if
not, cherish the memories,always...Love makes for longevity...

Insomnia

Each night is the same;like an old carbon copy. Nothing,I mean nothing, has helped
in years. I stay so exhausted,at times I break down in tears. While my mind is
constantly racing,my body is worn and weary. Every night I think to myself,"Maybe
slumber will come my way;that's a joke!" I just shake my head in disgust. After
all, sleep is a must! While I detest this dreaded insomnia;oddly enough,I love the
night. The peace and quiet often comfort me. This has been my world for some time
now.I must say,as much as I hate not sleeping,I create better. Right now, you're
reading my so called letter! Think I'll go outside and listen to my wind chime.
Someday,I'll get much needed rest. All in due time...Until then I can only dream;view
the the sunbeam...

Winter

WINTER***

The days are dark and short lived.
Yet,I love this season ever so much.
The air while crisp, somehow feels warm and cozy to me.
I adore the aroma of a fireplace and other holiday fragrances.
Enjoy this festive,family time.
That's what winter means to me...

My Cat Bear

Fat,fluffy and snow-white. Pink ears,nose & feet;with a smile oh so sweet! Eyes that
are big and blue;they seem to say,"I love you!"

Spring

Grand trees and flowers blooming once more;the world is alive again. Everything is changing;such a delight. How I love the wonderful sights, from vivid flowers to full trees with bold, emerald trees. At night I adore gazing at sunsets and stars all around me. I like to capture each moment in my heart or with my art. When we receive rain it is quite a treat. Rainbows after a shower are my favorite;the world is at peace. That's all I can ask for in the least...

Friendship

Friendship is caring and eternal. None of us are flawless. We've all endured many
scars and heartache throughout our lives. However,a genuine confidant is always a
constant. Friends are always there;meaning much laughter and many tears. If one is
unable to possess such qualities, how can you call yourself friend to begin with?
Many people come and go in a lifetime. It's only natural to scatter like leaves
through the years. But if one cares enough they will always show up when you least
expect it.

The Fantasy

As I reach down to skim the clear and placid stream,I begin to drift away to a time of
long ago. I envision back to carefree days of sunshine and laughter. A much more simple
time. The sky around me is such a lovely palette of blue. In the distance,a melodic
songbird haunting cry begins to mesmerize me. As I glance at my reflection in the glassy
water,I now see the face of an adult. It seems like only yesterday I was a child of
innocence and dreams. However, age should never matter.Whatever one’s age, we can always
return to days of being a fantasy child.

Night

While daytime is lovely,I cherish the night. All dark and mysterious...It's now peaceful and quiet. Such moments make me want to write. I gaze up at the smiling moon;such a glorious site...It doesn't take much to make me smile. I guess I'll see you in awhile.

Christi

Sometimes I think insomnia is my best friend. I know it well;and experience it often.
Some nights,it's all I know. Nothing seems to help, therefore it's familiar to me.
However, some of my deepest thoughts and ideas come to me during the early
hours. But at the same time,my best artwork is created at odd hours. For that,I am
thankful. Simply put, this is who I am. For that,I refuse to apologize...I've spent many
a year, telling people that I am sorry for my behavior. No longer will I do that. Accept
me as I am.
