The Day That Changed My Life

*Dramatic Monologue*

It was a normal Thursday. I went to school, and was on my way home. But on the
way, Adam, the guy I've been crushing on forever stopped to talk with me and he actually asked me to go to a movie tomorrow night, I accepted of course. I got in my car and drove home. When I walked up to the front door, it was open. My dad never leaves the door open. I walked in and called out, "Dad! Dad!" No answer. Then I look and on the couch I see my dad, lying there with three gun shots in his head, covered in blood.
Almost too weak to walk, I then see my mother on the floor with a gunshot to the chest, also covered, covered in blood. Crying hysterically I went into my brother's room
hoping he wouldn't be there. (He stayed home from school today because he was sick)
But he was. He was there. And he looked just like my parents, expect he was shot the
most. *Cries for a bit, then gathers herself together* Twelve times. TWELVE TIMES.
Who would do this?! Who would do this to me?! To my family?! Why didn't I die with my
family?! Why was I spared?! I shouldn't have talked to Adam. I shouldn't have. Why did
I do that?! *Cries again, then a pause and continues* After that I was never the same.
I was a different person. A different being. Because that was the day that changed my
life.

Like a Star In the Night

Verse One: Sitting on the window pane/ Looking into the

night sky/ Seeing all the beautiful stars/ Shining

in there glory/ The vast night sky/ or makes me

feel so small

Chorus: All the stars around me/ twinkling tonight

Surrounding me with the light/ They're

all I need tonight/ I will shine with all my

might / Like a star/ like a star in the night

Verse Two: I'm so far from where I want to be/

My dreams are as big as this bight sky/ I'm thinking

to myself/ Can this ever happen?/ What if I fail?/ What

if this is not what I am meant to be?

Repeat Chorus

Verse Three: Thinking of you and what we are/ think of how

you make me feel/ the joy you give my soul/ Thinking of leaving

you/ how leaving you could destroy you/ destroy the beauty in

the night sky

Repeat Chorus

Bridge: I have to choose/ choose between you and this night

sky/ This night sky I have always dreamed of/ but you/ you are

the light/ the encouragement of my life/ I have to choose you/

you or my night sky

Repeat Chorus X2

Behind These Blue Eyes

Behind these blue eyes is a story, a memoir, a biography. A story that tells so much. So
much has happened behind these blue eyes. So many tears have fallen from them, so
many smiles have shinned though them. So much sadness, and so much joy. But all the
sadness left and all the joy flooded in. All they do is smile, smile at you. These blue eyes
see the true you. They see what makes you smile, what makes you frown. They see
you strengths and your goals. These blue eyes see so many things, but the most
important thing they see is you.

Pouring Down

Verse One: Walking up and down the street/
Filled with thoughts of despair/ I feel as though
my world is tumbling down/ I cry/ I scream? and
then

Chorus: It pours down/ It's pouring/ All I've got
is the rain when it's pouring down/ But I say let
it pour/ let it pour/ let it fall on my face/ let it fall on
me

Verse Two: Wet/ Feeling lost/ But ever so alive/ Walking/
not knowing where I'm going/ Seeing the distance/ the path
seems too long/ I fall/ and then

Repeat Chorus

Verse Three: Looking ahead/ looking and seeing a face/ a beautiful
face/ a face that brings hope/ A face that brings out the sun

Repeat Chorus

Bridge: Seeing you/ feeling you/ feeling alive/ the warmth/ the light/
you bring/ it fills me/ it pours down on me

Chorus

Heaven

Purple dress, suit with a purple-ish tie.

Dinner. Fast car. Awkwardness. Dance?

Yes. Am I supposed to kiss you now? Do

you want to kiss me? Yes. Kiss me. Ehh.

Again? Wow. These words and sentences

describe a night, a night too meaningful to

explain. In that one night I gained. I gained

a dance, a kiss, and a new song. I song I will

remember forever. A song that put me in heaven.

The Road

Her path has been tough. She's tripped along the way.

The rain has poured down and the storm has come. She

almost drown in the flood. She is scared; she is unsure of

where to go next. She has come to the fork in the road.

One path takes her away, gives her the freedom she's

always longed for. The other keeps her locked up; keeps '

her in the storm. They both come with a price. Hurting the

people that brought her here or never truly living to her

full potential. It is her choice. Her's alone. What will she choose?
