A Mother's Love

A Mother’s Love… How precious is the love of a mother’s heart! Even as a child… It’s there from the start. A mother’s love knows no boundary or limit. It’s often shown by how much the mother gives it! Whether her children are young or growing old… And whatever circumstances in life may unfold. Her love is continually a solid foundation… That can’t be removed, torn or shaken. Her love is what is a guiding force. Even if her children’s lives stray off course. I’m thankful for the love my mother’s given… It’s surely influenced the way I’ve been livin’! To all of our mothers across our great nation… May we show them our love and appreciation! Their love has stood and endured the test of time… I’m so glad that one of them is MINE! By Jim Pemberton

God Has Made Everything Beautiful In His Time

“There is a time for each season…
To everything made…
There is a divine reason.

A time for purpose under
 the heavens above…
A time for meaning from a God of love.

A time to be born. A time to die…
A time to farm the ground
 under the beautiful sky.

A time to kill. A time to heal...
A time to tear down and
to build up with a passion and zeal

A time for weeping. A time for laughing…
A time to mourn. A time for dancing.

A time to keep...
A time to throw away.
A time to tear. A time to make amends today.

A time to get. A time for losing…
A time to keep. And to give
 away at our choosing.

A time for silence. A time to speak…
A time for each hour
 and day of the week.

A time for love. A time for hate…
A time for war. A time for peace at your gate.

How will you spend the time
 God has given to you?
What is your choice? What will you do???

May this be a time living in
God’s purpose and design.
He created you and made
everything beautiful in his time!

For All of My Sin Guilt and Shame

For All Of My Sin, Guilt And Shame… The sins I’ve committed… There are so many. Is there any hope for me. Is there ANY? The things I’ve done have caused me much shame. I’m often embarrassed when others call my name. My past failures and mistakes. They abound! And have a tendency to “pull me down.” I’ve often felt “unlovable” with a discouraged mind. It seems like my life, “is racing against time.” I was told that Jesus loves me and can make me whole. How could someone like this love me? I’ll never know. How could a God who’s so merciful and lovable. Find anything inside of me… That’s “valuable?” I’ve read in hi word, that he purchased my life with his. An abundant and eternal life… He freely gives! Dear Jesus. I ask you to come into my life and wash it clean. I ask you to be my Lord. My righteousness. My everything! For all of my failures, mistakes and every sin. I long for your presence and peace within! Only YOU can restore my life through your gift of salvation. I give you my heart. And an opened invitation! Thank you Lord! For the work that you’re going to do. I want you to know how much I love and appreciate YOU! By Jim Pemberton 09/21/11

God Gave Us Brothers and Sisters For a Reason

God Gives Us Brothers and Sisters For A Reason!

God gives us brothers and sisters for a reason!
As children, we have each other, throughout the seasons!

We laugh and play together and do all sorts of things…
Often not realizing what the future of life brings!

As kids, we often share whatever life may give us!
And stick together, no matter what trials may face us!

But, as we grow older, too often, we part separate ways.
And lose any contact with each other for countless days!

I’ve seen all kinds of things tear families all apart.
Often, there’s some kind of
 unforgiveness of the heart!

If you, and your siblings, have reached a separation…
May you seek Jesus for
a Godly reconciliation!

As family, whatever divides, must be lifted up in prayer!
Where two or three are gathered… God is there!

Just think about what the family unit has become!
The love of Jesus must be what binds us all as one!

Getting along as a family, is more than just a “feeling!”
The blood of Christ needs to bring an “inner healing!”

The family that each of us have,
 may not be here tomorrow!
Are you one who’s holding on to bitterness and sorrow?

May the words of Christ help us all to get along!
That through HIM, our families
will be STRONG!

The Joy of Knowing Jesus

The Joy of Knowing Jesus…

The joy of knowing Jesus is a blessing to know.
He brings peace and nourishment to my soul!

The joy of knowing Jesus brings a peace within.
Knowing that HE has removed my every sin!

The pleasure of serving Jesus is an honor indeed.
Knowing that he’s supplied and met my every need!

The pleasure of living each day, in honor to my king…
Helps me to realize that Christ is my everything!

This opportunity I have, is a special moment.
I know that I’ve been cleansed by HIS atonement!

This same Jesus can bring salvation to you today!
He’s waiting for you! And loves you in a beautiful way!

Won’t you take the time and receive him too?
See the marvelous work that he can do through you!

There’s a joy of knowing this Lord! He loves you so much!
He bless and restore your life by his special touch!

This can be the time, for you to come and accept him!
He wants to change your life! Won’t you let him?

Behold the king of glory! Hallelujah to the lamb!
He reaches out to all… With his loving hands!

Let’s thank Jesus for the joy that he’s given!
By his shed blood… We can all be forgiven!

He offers true love to all! And is what life is about!
He can change us now! And bring hope throughout!

The joy of knowing Christ is a pleasure to obtain!
We can find all we need! In his precious name!

I'M Very Thankful

I’m Very Thankful!

I’m very thankful for everything the Lord has made...
Everything he’s created… His beauty is displayed!

I’m very thankful for the breath I have to breathe…
Until that one day, from this earth, I shall leave.

I’m very thankful for the way God has made so evident.
The principles of his word… Are so relevant!

I’m very thankful for the beauty and glory he’s shown…
It has brought blessings and healing to my home!

I’m very thankful for the many things he’s done for me…
He’s given me his love which flows abundantly!

I’m very thankful that each day,.. Is another to live for him…
He’s taken away my pain and has forgiven every sin.

I’m very thankful that I can write
 these words from my heart.
I know that he’s with me. And he’ll never depart!

I’m very thankful that you’re reading
 what I’ve been saying…
May this cause you to once again start praying!

I pray that this same Jesus I know…
 Who’s merciful and kind…
Will speak words of hope to you
and give you a peace of mind.

I pray that before you go to bed and this day has ended.
You’ll allow Christ to have your heart “amended.”

Thank you Lord! For what you’ve
done and are going to do…
It’s another way that I can say
 “I LOVE YOU!”

Thank you Lord! For all that I‘ve
received and so much more…
You’ve made my life complete…
And are worth living for!

There Was a Time We Weren'T Ashamed of God

There was a time in America, when the Bible was taught in the schools. The ten commandments were displayed, as “God’s set of rules.” There was a time in America, where the cross could be displayed. Even in public places, people came together and prayed. There was a time in America, there was no “church and state” separation. As people all across this country asked God to help this nation. There was a time in America, where people knew right from wrong. You could see it in the way they lived, and could here it in their song. There was a time in America where one was proud to be a Christian. One could take stand for holiness, without coming under “suspicion.” There was a time in America, when mom and dad were together… Now, any kind of a commitment to marriage seems lost forever There was a time in America, where many were proud of “tradition.” There seems to be a lack of any kind of “spiritual nutrition.” There was a time in America, where so many could proudly say; “I’m going to read the bible and go to church on Sunday.” This is the time for America, to wake up and try to understand. We need to seek God right now! All over this land! This is the time for America, to listen and begin to hear… The coming of our Lord is drawing ever so near! NOW is the time to seek the Lord, while he may be found! The word of God needs to be read in every city and town! Won’t you too seek God and listen to his voice today? Simply give him your heart and life… This could be YOUR day! By Jim Pemberton

In God We Trust

In God We Trust???

Many across this country are trying in pure vanity.
To remove anything that’s about the God of Christianity.

Many claim that anything of God, may “offend.”
An atheistic kind of lifestyle, is what they defend.

The fool has said in his heart; “God doesn’t live. “
A lot of foolish talk is what they often give.

As they debate over what’s “constitutional.”
Their minds are being twisted, and are delusional.

There’s a God, who created this world and heavens above.
This same God can fill our lives with his eternal love.

This same God has put eternity in the hearts of man.
His way of living, many will never try to understand.

This God is one that our country once taught in the schools.
Now, we try to define our own set of morals and rules.

We often talk about all of the problems of this nation.
And often, don’t want to acknowledge the God of salvation!

Who shall we trust? God, or our fearless politicians?
No wonder, this country is in a terrible situation!

We need to repent and seek God’s mercy and forgiveness.
We need to read his word, and ask him to come and help us!

God is and will always be the solution for what ails us!
He’s the Lord God! He’s alive! And will never fail us!

Please dear Lord… May your truth bring a holy conviction.
May people across America, give to you, their heart’s dedication!

May the words; “In God we trust,” inspire us today.
And encourage us to honor him in what we do and say!

What If Christmas Never Came

What If Christmas Never Came??? What if Christmas never happened? What if Christmas never came? Things around here would be different! It wouldn’t be the same! What if the baby Jesus wasn’t born in a manger? Mankind would be in serious trouble and in danger! If Jesus wasn’t born... There’d be no nativity. We wouldn’t be able to display this during our “festivity.” It’s almost like this now! It’s an “ever increasing business.” It seems like nearly everyone wants “Christ out of Christmas!” Why does it seem like Christmas is losing it’s true meaning? The very words; “Merry Christmas,” seem to be quickly disappearing! As many say; “Happy Holiday.” They worry they may “offend.” Having a “holiday” without Christ…. Once again! We need to put Jesus Christ back into our CHRISTmas season! He is what Christmas is about! HE is the very reason! May we all take some time to rejoice in our savior’s birth. May there be shouts of JOY! From the corners of the earth! Let’s not take Christ out of our joyous celebration! We need him so much right now! All over this great nation! May we bring to him a heart of love for everything he’s done. As we bring honor to Christ. God’s precious son! May we continually offer to him a heart filled with praise! Not only at Christmas time… But all of our days! By Jim Pemberton 12/05/11

Does the Message of Christmas Offend You

Does the Message of Christmas Offend You?

I know of many who got somewhat “defensive.”
It has to do with something, they find “offensive.”

This seems to be the direction this country’s going.
People getting offended… And it’s showing!

The very appearance of a cross is “offensive.” It seems!
Many get offended by what the Christmas message brings!

Some try to get Christian symbols taken away.
It makes one wonder about this Christmas day.

The words “happy holiday” seem to take it’s place!
Just look at the expressions on a person’s face!

The nativity scene seems to be a thing of the past.
As people try to “rush” through
 this holiday fast!

If the true meaning of Christmas seems to offend you!
Simply look at the works of God,
 that surround you!

It was HIS love that sent the baby Jesus, down to earth.
So that one day, through him,
we can have a NEW birth!

A new life in Christ, is HIS message and meaning!
The greatest gift of all…
You can be receiving!

Won’t you take some time, from all of life’s stress?
And allow Jesus inside, so you can be blessed?

Let all come to Christ! Both near and a far!
He still shines today! Like the Christmas star!
