Keep Me Close

The feeling of your hands
clenching onto mine.
We lay side by side
giggling once and a while.
Keep me close

From the time you said hello
to my tears on your shoulder
We avoided the conversation us separating
until the day before.

You knew what I thought
you knew when I was lying
My favorite person in the world
I loved you from then until now.

I think about you every day
wondering if you still feel the same
that star is the only star I wish upon
wishing the same thing every night

Your freckles and dimples,
you smile, you're so unique.
The mud between our toes,
and rain on our eyelashes.

The only regret was leaving you.
I want to remember feeling of your breath.
If I ever see you again
keep me close

My Haiku's

Happiness and Laughs
Turns into tears scream and fears
I need an escape
                                                     Lightning and thunder
Fill the air, all I want is
                                                    To dance in the rain
  I may be happy
I may be sad, love is how
I live without you
                                                             the stars and sunshine
Make me happy, bring me joy
                                                                 Or leave me broken
  Love and Laughter mixed
With tears, screams, fears and darkness
 Leave me without her

                                                  Leaps, spins, turns, and jumps
Bare feet pointed, Leave me be
                                                    Dancing is my life.

Silence

After millions of seconds,
every second seeming,
much longer than the other.
All we wanted was good news,
all we wanted was you...

 A night with little excitement
only listening to the music,
and watching stars make lame jokes,
my sister and I heard a ring,
only faint cause the phone was outside.

Praying that everything was all right
we only wanted you safe,
we hear a sob from my mom.
As the moment my life fell apart
the good news never came.

You ran,
you jumped,
you swam,
you quit.
Why?
I don't understand.

We still haven't stopped asking questions,
Why you? Why us? Why then?
Those questions will never be answered.
It's been almost five years
Why?!

When you left you took a part of us with you,
My mom says hello,
Can you say hello to Ashley for me?
I hope you take her camping, and watch the stars at in the sky.
I hope everything's alright.

I know your dad came to join you,
Does it make you happy when people join you,
maybe that's what was going through my sisters mind,
maybe we all miss you more than you'd expect

Ever since you've been gone,
there has been a silence,
never questioned cause we don't want to face the truth
I wonder if you had more time if you wouldn't have done it,
do you regret it, or do you like the silence in the clouds.

We will never understand why you ran.
Life hasn't been the same since,
it's gone done hill from there,
you will always be in my thoughts.

Music

You are the one keeping me on earth,
like gravity keeps pigs from flying.
You weave in and out of my emotions,
giving me a new perspective on life.

You make me feel,
as if I am untouchable.
You make the sad emotions,
stay out side of the headphones.

From the bass of pop music,
bumping throughout my soul,
to the violin in country music,
playing it's way throughout my heart.

You are the one escape I know I can run to.
You make me want you on sad days,
I need you like a soul,
needs a body.

I need you music,
like a singer needs I song, I need you
cause I’m a dancer and life would be empty,
without you.

I need the rhythms of your soul
Running through my veins
your lyrics twirling around my brain
I love you.

I love you like a Popsicle loves the stick
I love you like the stars love the dark
Like my body loves to spin.
Like my muscles love oxygen
