A mans lack of faith
shortens the journey

From the Oven To the Freezer

I jumped off a plane, woosh like into a freezer
some thougth i was insane,
holiday in the winter.
In the middle of January
in the heart of London,
with all the heat in my body
fresh from the caribbean.
My vest my shirt and my jacket
still i felt like an eskimo,
my long john my jeans and my boots
all i was thinking was hell no.
What in the world would posses someone,
to choose the winter
instead of sun sea and sand.
Am i really insane or is it the love for the country,
cause the cold and the rain
it bites me daily.
But now i am a resident
and its going on a year,
so my love for the country
is way beyond compare.
It seems so unbelievable
but all i can remember,
is the day i jumped from the oven
straight into the freezer.

Soaps

No more Stanford and son
Esther and Lamont is taking a stroll
no more Beverly hills billies
Jestro the freak seem out of control.

When the news came out
that soaps have hit the scene
i thought is was zest, Palmolive
or irish spring.

No your wrong neighbors explain
if we are so bold and beautiful
then we should have
something to gain.

But life today is an up hill battle
and as the world turns
we becomes depress and dull
no wonder at the end of the day
we check our self into general hospital.

My doctors say i have one life to live
and all my children are on my case
so whenever i feel young and restless
i will stop for a drink at Melrose place.

But we cannot forget the days of our life
do something to make them look bright
so in the end we can stand and say
it was nice to see the guiding light.

What Is Life

Life is a mixture of troubles
of hardship and of fun
life was donated to all
some still here some have gone.
I often sit and wonder
what life for the future will be
will i have it forever
or tomorrow i may not see.
Life is something to be respected
in any thing that we may do
for today you may be happy
then tomorrow bids good bye to you.
Life is like a ship that passes along
today you are here tomorrow you are gone.
so to think of life it is the hardest plan
for it is something no one will understand.

It Is Still a Beautiful World

We still have life
we still have dreams
we still have hope
its not so bad as it seems.

We still have love
we still have those who cares
we still have happy faces
and the kind hearts who shares.

We still see the sun
that makes the day so bright
we still see the stars
that twinkles in the night.

We still feel loved
with families around to see
we still have friends
who will share for free.

we still have the world
for the adventurous to capture
weather warm or cold
we still have the works of the master.

as long as all the above
refuses to go cold
give thanks to the creator
it is still a beautiful world.

Crime

Crime wears time
just like a uniform
so forget about the crime
and time will move on.

The Competitor

Shadows of doubt
will always linger
but a doubting competitor
will never be a winner.

Alcohol

Alcohol and cars
do not get along
so if you take up driving
put the drinking down.
