Remember

Remember....

I never knew what friendship was, 'til I look'd upon my past;
I thought of all those i'd known before, and it came to me at last;
Friendship is what, we once shared, once upon many years ago,
an unbreakable bond between two silly kids,
most, in a lifetime could never know;

Life must have had it's reason, for our paths to cross, again,
especially after all these years,
reflecting upon our youthful past has brought my heart to tears,
All the daring things we did back then, some may wonder how we
made it through;
it was because we knew, we had each other, is my heartfelt point
of view;

It was you, my friend, who was there for me,
through the good times and the bad,
You saw me when, I was rarely happy,
and at my worst when I was sad,

Not sure if I ever thank'd you, for being there for me,
is why I write this down today, so that you'll know, and always see,
How much, if nothing, you influenced MY life,
and my heart you were able to touch;
No one knew more, about who I am,
I'd venture you know too much...

Please hold this when you're lonely, or question life at all,
You never have to go it alone,
remember me and call..
and if ever life should take us, on different paths again,
and it forces our lives apart,

NEVER question, my life long friend, where you belong,
Look no further than my heart.....

 Best budds then, now and always....

The Dreamer

The Dreamer:
The days I spent with empty faces,
That never ask your name,
Just to joke about their troubles,
to mask away the pain.
There really is no dignity,
for an animal in its STALL,
who can only dream and try and ignore
the screams down an echoing hall.

There`s a dreamer in the distance,
but his thoughts are far away,
You can feel his spirit dying,
it cannot bear another day.
The flame of hope started to flicker,
and you know it`s much too late,
When the anger stops its raging,
all thats left is bitter hate.

I think about my yesterdays,
then cry over things I`ve done,
There is no one left to turn to,
This battle cannot be won.
So, I`ll dream about tomorrows,
and all that should have been,
Beyond the walls that now surround me,
My future, could not be seen.

I close my eyes to beseech a higher power,
When I saw an open lea,
Running through the long tall grass,
I knew that I felt free...

The Dreamer was found with open wrists,
and blood on his pillow case
The KEEPERS could not understand,
The SMILE he left,...on his nameless face.......

Reflections

REFLECTIONS

She sat there so expressionless,
so I asked her `is there something wrong`
She said that, she wasn`t quite sure, she`d felt this way so long..

I reasoned that her heart was broken,
and her conscience badley bruised,
The little girl inside of her was lonely and confused..

`Its never too late I told her,` to turn your life around,
she just sighed deeply as her eyes shifted to the ground.

I reassured things would get better,
she looked up and shrugged, `ya they might`,
Slamming my fist down I yelled NOT without a fight!

Just then I thought I saw a spark. within her deep blue eyes,
I could have been mistaken,...
But a MIRROR, seldom lies.....
