Enveloped

Rainbow - hues of love's presence
Drizzles of warmth and joy
Contentment of heart
Calming the ragged edge
Leavening excitement
Of all but the real
Circle's half - is subtly whole
Seen in a flash- lighting the soul
Remnants of delight's flight lingering
Poignancy wraps tightly
Our ode to love's stanza
Ribbons of the misty arc- adorn the day

Bubbley's Refrain

Drink earth's grape - and liquor's melting
of the sense's grim
clap the heart and soul and dance
the music's justly whim
moisten now life's hurried stance
with temporary oil
lift the spirit - tilt the glass
spin day's doldrums - kiss the sin
for 'morrow enters still again
the mundane and the rough
tonight - you soothe the palette
by living off the cuff

Scattered Remnants of the Tenement

In the hollows of my being
mental photos move about
doors attempt to shut out
what was already in - severity
plaster walls sharing testimony
with squeaky floors
warmth mingled with kerosence petals
ancient melodies oozing hope
ties of embryonic attendance
anchors of strength obtained

Eternally

Derangement - bullets crackle
soldier of insanity
cuts beauteous innocence
gone is the embodiment - of
her illumination of hearts
replication not to be
keeping now
intense essence
forever to blossom

Vision's Quest

All the people - walking - talking
                 nowhere is my sibling seen
                 cannot waken - senses knowing
                 startling evidence - not lean
earth is lesser - skies are pale
gone his essence - once no lack
                 clouds of information - telling
                 of his never coming back
                 how to filter - happen-stance
mirrored eyes of him I see
                 as I pass a window's glance
they're the eyes of him and me
beings moving - here and there
                 seeing not - my pain
me - supposing smiles are real
knowing not - their own refrain
consume my sorrow - in clock's turning
haps to lend me sweet relief
                 in attendance - heaven's yearning
waits for me - is mine belief

Love's Journey

As lilac lace conjures softness
as forest's green sparks with life
walk in splendor with one heart
be humble in your fondness - for
sluggishness arises - when love for granted haps
when lilac lace is fading - and the tree spark's dim
life's serenade will whisper - tis not a time to linger
Allow your hearts refreshment - lock your eyes again
seek the continuity - of devotion's tenderness
strike the match demurely - slow burning - more endures
trusting not to numbness - forgiveness enters in
the heavens count for all concerned - it's showers bringing forth
stability - the leveling - of love's maturity
life's passions shared - like petals picked
God's orations loud - kindness - sets the bouquet
His essence wafting in

Tomorrow

Sequences, of life - as seasons that arouse our sensibilities
Wantonly giving and taking
It's promise of forever directing our dance
Swirling and twirling
Inhaling grappling times - as wintry blasts
Exhaling - sighing - as springtime's daisies smile
Tantalizing our expectations

Culmination

Never so sweet - as the rosebud's feat
to capture the bloom of the rose
ensconced within - it's petals thin
to break forth with color intense
lips pursing up - shining with dew
carousing the sun for it's heat
sensuous wiggles - the flower entails
seducing it's nutrient's meat
radiant rays - soft petals caressed
it's fertilization bestows
the velvety blood red kiss - of -
the passion embraced by the rose

Symmetry

A sunrise kisses morning's dew
and makes the flowers sing
butterflies are formed anew
stately on their wing
highlights of a new day
begin in nature's flock
of openings and closings - the universe's clock
happiness a constant - striving
to retain - knowledge of it's promise
now and then to wane
fly with earthly creatures
with your wingspan open wide
stay in tune with loveliness
 it's all you can abide
for all of life's abundance
call forth for the divide

In the Eyes of My Grandchildren

No music nor color nor loveliness of earth tones
grips my heart - like the eyes of my grandchildren
no emotional emination - thrills me
like the motion in their step

I am elevated in their presence
taking flight from their energy
knowing all is theirs - because they believe it
upon their leaving - I must ponder

How to gather such wonder - as they are
did I ever possess the power that radiates
like the fire of certainty
that all is only now

That yesterday is past - tomorrow will wait
to devour today with laughter and love
Ahh - one time I did - I remember - I go there again
every time I see - the eyes of my grandchildren
