Trying To Hold On

Lying still
Sans motion
Clouded sky
Heavy emotion
Starless Night
Painful separation
Trying to hold on

Stagnant life
She has moved on
Precious memories
Everyday delusion
Burning flame
Blinded vision
Trying to hold on

I took a moment and penned this song
I have been waiting to say it for a long
I am trying to hold on

Yes, I am weak
Never was strong
Just wanted to be with you all my life long
I am trying to hold on

Stars

One day I shall leave
Gone without a trace
Don’t cry for me, don’t be sad
Know it in your heart
I have found my place
With a heavenly embrace

I shall take you in my heart when I go
Your sublime love
Shall give me the everlasting glow

I may be light years away
If you wish, you can see me
Among the stars
At the end of each day

Let Us Bring Back the Humanity

No Scars
No more wars
No soldiers
Let the battle fields be
Garden of flowers

haven’t we cried enough
how many have we lost?
Fathers, sons, Mothers, daughters
The toll mounts
We kept scoring,
Never cared to keep count!

We try to bury the unknowns story
Chernobyl, Bhopal, kansat,
we cover ourselves in, fame, glory
aren’t we lost in our own selfish greed
Wearing crowns and precious reeds
let us bring back the humanity

Inside Me

When I am gone
Remember me
For the good times we had
The moments that I was able
To make you happy,
even if for very, a very short time
I would, if I could make those moments sublime
in time
When you forget about me
I shall never be angry, I will never envy
For you shall always remain
Inside me

The Fairy Tale

The story of a fairy
Legendary , merciful
The most beautiful
Renevatio
Birth of a Prince
The luckiest of all
They met amidst the heavenly clouds
Ascend of the stars
They met
In the bright moonshine
All the heavens angel
Cursed out the demons
 Created was Eve
allures of the universe
A little frail
Thus began
The truest Fairy Tale

Sorry

Why do always come together at the very last
We mourn about someone's terrible fate
We pray the almighty to open heavens gate
Why can't we take a stand
 Before everything goes haywire
 And its too late
 What sadness me the most
We shall forget her like yesterdays ghost
I am weak to take a stand
 Feel like a spineless worm
I am filled with the most grotesque and harm full germ
I am sorry for the things I could not do for you
I am sorry I could not protect you
(to the Indian Lady who died in hand of Monsters)

Money,Greed, Lies

Money, Greed, Lies

Overwhelming desires

Underneath love/affection cries

They lay close

Entwined,

One disappears, The other in despair

Still close they lay

Hundred, thousand miles away

I can feel it

I open up all the windows

To let the storm in

It will set you free

From the unfair/ unwanted grip of me

Unreasonably I Envy,

I am stuck , You are free

You glow like gold, my heart grows cold

The fear engulfs me

I am getting old

Angel of Mercy

There would be a day
When you will come
Take my arms into yours
You will say
No need to shed a drop more
This is the day that ends all dismay
You will say
This time I’ve come to stay, forever
& will never go away

He closed his eyes
In pleasant surprise
Rested his head on her lap
As if to take a nap
He knew for sure
In time, fate somehow shall make up
For this momentary gap

Who was she?
The only angel sought by his heart
The one & only
Who brought his soul the long awaited mercy

As he slept
She lowered her lips &
Kissed his forehead

Time went on as it always does
When they found him, he breathed his last

Some sighed, some cried
Some said in sorrowful tones
Some even felt relieved is subconscious moans

Least bothered was he,
Nothing could touch him
At last he was free
As he always wanted to be

Hevaen On Earth

What if I take a hiatus
From all this madness, filth& dirt
Filled inside me
would you give me
A second chance, a third chance, one very last chance,
To purify my soul, bring me back
From the dark, from the black
I don't want to write like this
I don't want the chances to miss
I want to feel alive again
I want your love
Warmth
Give me heaven
In your earth

The Best I Can Be

I know all my poems are alike, Repetitive , this is me & the best I can be

I will never contact you
I will never try to reach you
You will always be an illusion
More Real than reality
Make me Dream of you
Indulge me in - the abyss of lust I have for you
Open your self
Let me in
With you let me be
Beloved You are already inside me,
In entirety, for eternity -Ashek Ur Rahaman
