Fairy Tale Death

Nothing turned out the way I wanted it to.
Everything holy crashed down to hell.
No nothing turned out the way I wanted it to.
Thinking of it makes me unwell.

The fairytale guidelines never warned us
What happens when happy endings fail.
We never were told of the ripple effect.
That shakes out the last tooth and last nail.

Watching it start as a crack in the crown.
Passing it off to be nothing of worry.
It wasn’t long before walls toppled down;
Before the ceilings followed suit in a hurry.

It was sooner than later, but later than right,
By the time that this great kingdom crumbled.
When the stars flickered out, and all turned to night.
We sat in the dark and were humbled.

I would not rebuild it; for the design was at fault.
It was in the wrong that we stood for it to stand.
However the world itself is not to blame by default.
Blame goes to building vast dreams in the sand.

A fairytale dying, is an ugly thing to observe
It does not enjoy being prolonged.
It’s withering life I tried to conserve
Thus the fairytales memory I wronged.

Doubtless is the fact, the dream needed to die,
Laid to rest in the ground for some peace.
Yet a dream flying away towards the realm in the sky
Should not be signal for a world to cease.

The ground is unsuitable for a fairytale world,
But not for normal life to survive.
As soiled as it is now by war weapons hurled,
It doesn’t mean that all life forms should die.

Phase

The wind in the trees plays a melody so sweet upon my ear.
The smells of the grass pull as I pass and try to draw me near.
The light on the hill causes time to stand still, waves at rest upon the shore.
Yet time waits for none, the moment is done, the world turns once more.

So fast that it cracks, it comes rushing back, the present’s massive force.
The earth groans under stress of the weight that we press, feeling no remorse.
Holes drilled in the ground to start fishing around, for the wealth that’s hid below
Ignore signs in the skies that warn of demise, and pretend that we do not know.

The smell of depression and doctors suggestions, seeps from peoples pores
The wind in the trees carries plague and disease, which eats you from the core.
The light on the hill is stagnant and ill, blurred from smog and haze.
Yet to the young lies spurt from old tongues, saying it’s just a phase.

Scattered Depression

Separate the fact from fiction.
Diagnose my sad condition.
Cure me through a drug addiction,
Place me on a hopeless mission.

Make me strong through deprivation.
Fill my soul with food starvation;
Catch a glimpse of sweet salvation.
Loose the fight and win damnation.

Quiet tears of deep frustration,
Sobs that near asphyxiation;
Suicide; a real temptation;
Won’t bow to manipulation.

Withhold giving satisfaction,
Shed no tears for past transgressions.
Soar away in elevation,
Outrun your annihilation.

Death may be the destination;
The road that’s walked is my creation.

Where Will I Be?

In the deepness of my reverie I see the future dim,
With twists and turns I can not guess,
Possibilities great and grim.

Through the depths of thoughts I can’t explain and trains I can not catch.
There is a future I can not see
An end I can not guess.

When all is said and all is done and I have run my course,
When left and right, and right and wrong no longer is a choice
Where will I be when the end comes and I have made my bed,
Where will I lay at the end of ends when all is done and said?

From the deepness of my reverie the future is a blur
There is an end that I can not see,
Good or bad I am not sure.

Through depths of pros I can not weigh, and cons which hurt my heart,
There is a balance which will be made
As my life completes its chart.

At the end of all the “might have been”'s and “never, ever were”'s
After every mistake has been made along with rights that felt so sure,
Once the a, b, c’s have all been picked and the answers are cued in,
Where will I be when the last sand falls and I have reached my end?
