My Life Is a Postcard (Song)

Chorus
My life is a postcard
and my dreams are free
Times can be hard
But not with you loving me

It's been a bad day
and I don't know why
I got up this morning
and I wanted to cry
Like a football game
with that one perfect goal
together we are a team
you make me whole

It's picture perfect
my life with you
in all our adventures
in every little thing we do
you are my life
a beautiful piece of art
and I'll never let you go away
and I'll never let us part

Watching our postcard sunset
as we lay upon the sand
you are my everything
so reach out your hand
I wanna hold you close
beneath the skies above
to forever be in this dream
to forever be in love

If the World Were Full of Hippies

If the world were full of hippies
there'd be nothing left to prove
except peace and understanding
and a little bit of groove

Noone would be homeless
Like many live today
We'd build beautiful communes
where anyone could stay

Together we'd make music
to the beat of mother earth
there'd be no fighting or war
Everyone sharing equal worth

We'd grow our own vegetables
 and create trinkets to sell
We'd open up our minds
break free from our shell

Every colour and every race
would teach one another
we'd become a united family
every sister, every brother

We'd bless all gods creatures
show respect for the land
Give free hugs to everyone
openminded to understand

Nature would speak to us
Our world would become one
with peace and understanding
and a little bit of fun

All I See Is Rain

My place, my time
Couldn't it just last?
It was my present, my future
Why is it now my past?
I close my eyes to paint memories
fresh inside my mind
as those pictures come to light
the warmth of tears I find,
I feel the ache of a broken heart
the hurt of a physical pain
I need sunshine like a wilting bud
but all I see is rain

Burning Fire

Burning fire, red tongues licking
Crackling heat, crimson flicking
Earth, dust and ashes form a pyre
flames of forgiveness growing higher
I sit, I scream, I cry and I shout
Every tear I shed won't put this fire out
You have gone, somewhere else you dwell
Pile of burning cinders, nothing but a shell
Feel the peaceful spirit birds and trees
Nature seems to calm me, sudden breeze
then I stop, think and I start to smile
Cosmic meeting was all worth while
I lay here hours till break of dawn
Comforted white widow, silent morn
Love is strong, our spirits will greet
different time and place, again we'll meet
True love, your beauty rare thing to find
close my eyes you're inside my mind
burning fire, red tongues flicking
Crackling heat, crimson flicking
Gone is the pain, as I bathe in glory
For having you dear, in my life story

Ode To Ziggy Stardust

It's a space oddity
for all that this came too
for the man who sold the world
should have sold it all to you

Let's dance, for we are heroes
we know there's life on Mars
you our dear modern love
now dance amongst the stars

You were a rebel, rebel starman
Our world gone through changes
ashes to ashes, dust to dust
Your body, your soul exchanges

We know you're still alive
but where are we now?
Maybe next a china girl?
we'll meet again somehow

Go Outside and Play

The panoramic vision of my life
Does not come from paper nor screen
I chase the rainbows
I follow my dream

although I cannot catch them
I hold my head towards the sky
to capture this for my memory
To view it through my eyes

People are too distracted
With the imperfections of life
I think beautiful memories
Help to calm our strife

Caught up with possessions
An armchair that's never seen arms
 surrounded by the living dead
When life has the greatest charms

I saw a small boy today
Who smiled and said to me
He was the happiest kid in town
Cause he had his own TV

I looked down at him
I smiled and I said
 insecurity and inadequacy?
TVs gonna mess with your head

Beautiful blue skies, sun is shining
Today's the perfect day
to try to capture a memory
'You must go outside and play'

Hippieland (Used In the Song Hippieland Sung By Lew Dentler)

Once in a meadow there lived hippie Sue
Hippie Tony and hippie Jim lived there too
There sitting smoking was hippie Jack
Making joints from the buds in his hippie rucksack

There was Hippie Emma who cooked the meal
and hippie Ray who helped her peel
Hippie Sarah played all day on her guitar
toking on Smokey Blues magic cigar

They danced all night from the break of dawn
and lay in the sun in the early morn
They all swam naked in a nearby lake
after acid fuelled trips they would take

They believed in peace and stopping the war
They didn't know what all the fighting was for
Hippie Sue would sit hugging her favourite tree
Hippie Lou would sit making Jewelery

They would take all their wears to market to sell
From colourful robes to a painted shell
They lived in the meadow in a giant tee'pee
Young and naked, beautiful and free

They would dance and sing songs about the day
when freedom would come and war go away
News travelled far of this peaceful community
people came near and far all wanting to be free

As this village soon grew of people from near and far
something happened that was a little bizzare
People started to wonder what they were fighting for
and soon it became the end of war

This hippie meadow was full of different races
of hippie people from all different places
Hippie Lou taught people the meaning of how to live
Hippie Sue taught people the meaning of how to give

Hippie Jim taught people who didn't know how to share
Hippie Ray taught people who didn't know how to care
This was a beautiful sunny hippie paradise
A way of living together simple but nice

This place will still be forever there
Hippie Jim sitting waiting for stories to share
But you don't need a map just a hippie heart
You've known how to get there from the start!

Everything Happens For a Reason

Life has many ups and downs
You never know what's through the door
Some things aren't always easy to grasp
You've got to reach a little more

Everything happens for a reason
whether at the time feels good or bad
You couldn't tell if it was a good time
If good times you always had

Realise the power of your thoughts
what your open mind can do
If you create a positive karma
Positive karma will look after you

So wander freely down lifes path
You're gonna find sun, sometimes rain
There is always gonna be happiness
around the corner from sadness or pain

Queen of Hearts

The queen of diamonds
wears her rings
A life of fortune
materialistic things
The queen of hearts
has a bigger downfall
she loves to love
and loves with her all

Life Is a Great Big Ocean

Life lessons are all important,

even the ones that cause pain,

To bathe in summer sun

You got to expect a little rain

Many have walked a path

left words and quotes behind

In times in need of light

they're left for us to find

Be strong, be brave

Embrace every emotion

It's just a mighty wave

But life is a great big ocean
