-empty Chairs and Tables

There is a sadness that can not be spoken of.
And there is a pain that goes on and on.
There are empty chairs at empty tables,
For my friends are dead and gone.

It was here they talked of a revolution,
It was here that they lit the flame.
It was here they talked about tomorrow,
But tomorrow never came.

From that table in the far corner,
They could see a world reborn.
And they rose with their voices ringing,
I think I can hear them now.
The very words that they had said,
Are echoing,
Before the dawn.

Oh my friends, my friends forgive me.

That I live and you’re all gone.
There is a sadness that can not be spoken of.
And there is a pain that goes on and on.

Ghostly faces at that window.
Phantom shadows on that floor.
Empty chairs at empty tables,
Where my friends shall meet no more.

Oh my friends, please ask of me,
To avenge your sacrifice.
For empty chairs at empty tables,
Give me enough reason for war.

House of Hearts

You gave it away with a look,
That precious simple look like
white linen that's all yours;
It's telling me everything:

You're telling me I'm fine,
But no vision, no secret star
viewed in the velvet night,
spied from your house of hearts.

Dare say your wide eyed,
Dripping tepid smiles
At the thought of lyrics
Shaped in your form,
Words bended and built,
Crafted into songs
As strong as all I am...

A love as strong as the wind,
Wide eyed you look up to the sky
And wonder where it comes from,
Invisible, oblivious forces
Drawn in and out of the void.

All you are is another one,
Another heart stealer that
Comes and goes as with the
Change in season.
All that you are is a thought.
All that you are is that look.
That precious simple look like
white linen that's all yours;
And it's telling me everything.

One For Me

Am I going insane?

My blood is boiling inside my veins.

My body’s aching, my hands are shaking.

I’m afraid that there’s no turning back.

So take your eyes off that trigger,

You cannot die while you’re here in my arms.

I’m not to blame if the world turns to black.

There may be hope for a final embrace.

I was told to run away,

And I disobeyed.

You were told to stay away,

And you just could not obey.

You are the one for me,

One for me.

You ask if it’s your turn to die,

My heart is pounding as you say goodbye.

You finger that trigger like you did my face,

Will you just leave me crying and screaming your name?

You said that we’d be forever,

How can you lie then die to my face?

Now we can’t be together.

You’ve just given your final embrace.

You didn’t take your eyes off that trigger,

You died while you were here in my arms.

I’m not to blame if the world turns to black.

There is no hope for a final embrace.

I was told to run away,

And I disobeyed.

You were told to stay away,

And you just could not obey.

You were the one for me,

One for me.

Now I lie alone,

Your cold body holding me down.

I gave you my heart,

Was that not enough?
You were told to stay away,

And you just could not obey.

You are the one for me,

One for me.

You ask if it’s your turn to die,

My heart is pounding as you say goodbye.

You finger that trigger like you did my face,

Will you just leave me crying and screaming your name?

You said that we’d be forever,

How can you lie then die to my face?

Now we can’t be together.

You’ve just given your final embrace.

You didn’t take your eyes off that trigger,

You died while you were here in my arms.

I’m not to blame if the world turns to black.

There is no hope for a final embrace.

I was told to run away,

And I disobeyed.

You were told to stay away,

And you just could not obey.

You were the one for me,

One for me.

Now I lie alone,

Your cold body holding me down.

I gave you my heart,

Was that not enough?

What a smile can do

Keep On Smiling
If at times you feel you want to cry.
And life seems such a trial.
Above the clouds there’s a bright blue sky
So make your tears a smile.

As you travel on life’s way
With its many ups and downs
Remember it’s quite true to say
One smile is worth a dozen frowns.

Among the worlds expensive things
A smile is very cheap
And when you give a smile away,
You get one back to keep.

Happiness comes at times to all
But sadness comes unbidden
And sometimes a few tears must fall
Among the laughter hidden.

So when friends have sadness on their face
And troubles round them piled
The world will seem a better place
And all because you smiled.

The end
