The True Love of a Man

When I was just a little girl, I dreamed I’d meet a knight. He’d proudly wear his shining armor, and guard me day and night. I kept on dreaming half my life and searched as I grew. Until I found my knight one day, I found my knight in you! Before our paths crossed that day, my struggles had been great. But when I laid my eyes upon you, I thought it must be fate. You gently got to know me and embraced me as a friend. And as our friendship grew in time, we knew it wouldn’t end. As our lives were set in motion, we climbed mountains and sailed seas. And as we’ve shared our lives together, we’ve blended with such ease. Our friendship grew as years passed by into such an enduring love. This thing we have together now was blessed from God above! I know we both have said it. We feel it in our souls. We’ve devoted our lives to each other, and together we’ll grow old. The love we share is very rare, and should be held with high esteem. For some may only find this kind, only in their dreams. This is what God planned for us, to live here on this land. To be the best we both can be, walking through it hand in hand. Even when our roads seem rough, we must have a faith that lasts. We’ll smile as we share many today’s, and reflect gladly on our past. I hope I’ve touched your life my love, as much as you’ve touched mine. For this is the love I’ve always dreamed of, a love both gentle and kind. I believe we meet our “soul mate” only once in our lives. This blessing from God has come to us, I’m proud to be your wife. With all this said my poem will end. A poem for my love, who is also my friend! I want to thank you with all that I am, For showing me Darling, the true love of a man!
With all my love, Michelle Merry Christmas – December 2006©

It's Time To Change

How did you feel when you woke? Were you frightened or lonely, or was your heart broke? Do you feel alone or sometimes afraid? Is it clear that your life’s not meeting the grade? Do you feel uncomfortable in your own skin? Do you feel that you’re losing, but just want to win? Are you having remorse about what could have been? If so, then it’s time to grab paper and pen. Jot some things down you’d like to achieve. Then read them each day and start to believe. We cannot go back and change the past! Standing still today, just won’t last. So get ready, prepare, and take care of your needs. It’s time to firmly plant His seeds. Start with yourself and the rest will follow. I know right now it’s hard to swallow. Be gentle and patient, for there is no doubt, you’ve been hurting so long, both inside and out. If you know in your heart that something’s askew, you must be willing and ready to start anew! There’s help for you along the way. You’ll receive it for sure, so start to pray. Dear God, Please show me where to start. To You, I know I must open my heart. So say each day, “Thy Will Be Done”, and you’ll see it, I’m sure, but just don’t run. Be open and willing to hear and see, all that He is calling you to be. Follow His signs and stay on the road, and when you ask He’ll help bear the load. Don’t bring excess baggage for this trip. Keep it simple, you see or you just might slip. You need to remember to stay on track. Once you start, hold nothing back. For the new road you find is the only way. You’ll get there soon, if you just don’t stray. Now is the time for discipline and prayer. You’ll start to believe you’re in His care. As you practice and try to do the right things, you’ll be eager to see what the next day brings. Your life will be flooded with joy and gladness, and you’ll know he’s there in times of sadness. Life is still life, but just stop and think. Nothing is solved by making a stink! So put all your worries in God’s hands today! There’s no reason to keep them, let go and just pray. I know that miracles do come true. Have faith and His promises will be given to you.

Temptaion

The great tempter tries, subtly, watching us, lurking to lure. Preparing, waiting to dazzle us, in times we are unsure. His flames dance so beautifully, as we watch we are in awe. Warm and seducing, calling our names, They seem to have no flaw. Rising now, the fire you see will try to take you in, Inviting you to his den of iniquity, to live once more in sin. Closer now we feel the heat, as flames begin to rise. They take the form of hands and then they pull you by surprise. Do not give in to the deadly one, grab on to the lifelines you know. This fire will engulf you so fast, and cease your chance to grow. It’s there and waits quite patiently, being on your guard’s a must! His masques are quite deceiving, you know, he’s not the one to trust!

He Makes Me Smile!

As I sat and wrote this poem, I was grateful for my cozy home. I started praying on my knees, And suddenly I could write with ease. I am sure, that if you pray, He’ll be there for you each day. He’ll show you your talents and your calling, And when you are down, He’ll catch you from falling. When I’m praying on my knees, I know it’s Him I’m going to please. By writing these poems and spreading the Word, He knows when they’re read, His voice will be heard! I hope He makes you smile today! I know it happens if you pray!

A New Pair of Glasses

Reflecting back on all the times we felt, that life had done us wrong, The daily struggles, the missing pieces, the days they felt so long. Without the hope inside sometimes, that life could ever change, Until one day, the lightening hit, we felt its stinging pain. Alone we were and full of fear, we sat and sometimes cried. Until we were willing, to let someone in and put aside our pride. “It’s an inside job, but let it all out", we once heard someone say. It’s up to you to make the choice, so start anew today! The daily decision to change our thoughts and all our actions too, Is not an easy task, but we’ll find our bonding glue. Not sure exactly where we’re headed, we just swiftly plod away. Remembering who we want to become, lies in our choices today. If life gets rough, just phone a friend, or take a walk outside. Breathe in fresh air and think good thoughts, and put your cares aside. Just one foot forward is all it takes to get to where He’s calling! The path is outlined for us as we go, He’ll catch you when you’re falling. Tears may come from time to time, and that’s ok, you know. For in our quest for what’s to come, they’ll be sure to help you grow. No pain, no gain we hear, but here’s the best news yet…… We’re promised a life we’d never dreamed that alone we would never get! With the laughter we’ll share, and the friends we will meet, our fears will melt away. Our gratitude for the new life we’re living will shine with each new day. A simple change in attitude will help throughout the years. Life will become like a new pair of glasses, We’ll see laughter through the tears!

He Sends You His Love

Open your eyes and see what God’s done! Look up often, at the moon, stars and sun. In the clouds there are pictures, if we look we will find. God’s beautiful artwork, it just blows my mind! And when we look up, to the wonder of lightening, the power and thunder, doesn’t have to be frightening. Can you see all around us, the flowers and green? Soon, it will leave us, like seasons & dreams. They come and they go, and soon come again. This circle of life, we’ll see ‘till the end. Our eyes are a gift, so be grateful today. See and take in and watch as you pray. Never doubt that there’s God, high up above. For with all of life’s beauty, He sends you His Love!

Strength Through Struggle

Your path may be rocky and tough right now. But one day soon, He’ll show you how, to seek His comfort and His love. It’s time to pray to God Above. You’ve been given “Wings” to help you fly. Now’s not the time to question why. Accept with gratitude the gifts you’re shown, and simply know, you’re not alone! His Angels are working, both day and night, to comfort you and relieve your fright. You’ve gone through some suffering and some pain. Now it’s your time to come in from the rain. With open arms they welcome you, Alone or with children, but there’s work to do. Awaken each day and see these gifts. Then share yours with others and your spirits will lift. For through His Grace you have a new day, But remember to thank Him as you pray. One day you will fully see your place, And know that through struggle, you’ll soon see His Grace!

A Prayer For the "sailing Family"

Dear friends, I really don’t know you at all. In that vast wide ocean, you may feel very small. But when you sail, know just one thing, He’s with you always, many joys He will bring. So take in the beauty, and all of His Gifts, The water, his creatures and all in your midst. Even if you did not consciously bring Him, He’s always beside you, and there when you need Him. I know of a lady, she’s one of your girls. She mentioned that you would be traveling the world. So, though I don’t know you, I wish you the best! Safe, happy travels…knowing He’ll do the rest! Take in every moment, sun rises and sets. It sounds as though it’s as good as it gets! My prayer is this, that your Travels be well. So bring back some memories and stories to tell! Begin To Live

Knowing his plan and staying on course, You’ll walk through your days without guilt or remorse. Asking each day for His will to be done, You’ll soon see it clearly, as the rising sun. Life is just moments of things that we do, and if they’re done well, there’s no need to be blue. Get down on your knees, with every nightfall, And know if you pray, He will give you it all! All that you need you will soon come to know, Is already yours, so let the rest go. Stay in the moment, His presence you’ll feel. All of His goodness will seem quite surreal. There’s nothing to want for and nothing you need. Let go of the anger, the fear and the greed. And when you awaken, His presence surrounds. Thank Him again as your feet hit the ground. Then go to a place to be quiet and pray, before you are rushed right into your day. Ask Him to show you his way all the while, And know that He’s with you, it will show in your smile. These simple acts of love that we show Him, Simply mean we’ve come to know Him. Never doubt He’s always there! Forever and ever you’re in His care. As you walk through life, you’ll shine His glow. You’ll share it with others and they’ll come to know. The beauty of love that’s only ours to give, Allows us to truly begin to live.

I Aked God, and He Answered

As I knelt in prayer the other night, I asked God….
“Why is there so much suffering in the world?”
I believe He answered me and said…

Free will is a fact of life. It can bring you joy or sometimes strife. It’s up to you to make the choice, But if you pray, you’ll hear my voice. I can’t explain, my dear, He said, as I knelt beside my bed. Our lives are NOT a matter of fate. You may CHOOSE hell or the pearly gates. Now my dear, rest your head, And tuck yourself inside your bed. Have no worries, have no fear. Just simply know that I am here! Michelle D. ©6/15/06
