Of Stars and Scars - a Gallileo Symphony

I am a violinist with knives
read the scores/scars on my arms
follow the soundtrack of my life in a gallileo symphony
play the cello falls
the flute lifts
the steady beating of a timpony
play my life
play the climatic ending
watch the curtain fall
the audiance clap
goodnight

Fire Song

I crave your fire
your iodine tounge dipped in crystaline words
you tell me the tale of the snowdon sleepers
your eyes are coal
fuel through my vains
cresendo of my heart beat
you build song inside me
hold me, snake charmer!, story teller! lover!
keep me in the warmth of your suspense

Greif Walks

(I found this poem that I wrote in my first year of high school, it brings back memories so
thought I'd post it)

He wears what was once a fine suit. Brown, travel-worn trousers, a white, broken-buttoned
shirt, and leather shoes that look as though a hundred chalky footed mice have scrabbled
over the toes.
He walks in shadows, glaring through red rimmed eyes at the colourful swarm of shoppers.
Their eyes slide over him, uninterested and uncaring;
He has no true friends only a black dog that follows behind him wherever he goes.
He walks with his head down, ignoring everything but the sound of his own scuffed shoes
on the pavement. Memories hang heavy around his shoulders. His moods are violent. Soft,
silent depression breaks into hysterical yelling for no real reason; he grabs at his grey
threaded hair.
The shoppers walk on, pretending he is not there
  But Grief walks -
In a once fine suit, through shadow, head down, grief walks.

Agents of Chaos

(another peice of writing I found from my first year of high school)

Embrace the dark.
Throw yourself over the edge.
Be more than this.
Control this, live, breath, feel it.
We taste the bitter sweet chaos on our tongues
we laugh and scream in wild ways
we dance menacingly in corridors
we are the strangest owners, most powerful holders, dangers of the night
we watch as you burn, giddy with freedom, our anarchy of terror
we are the greatest,
and we have control
Feel the intoxicating spirit, breath it in, let it fill you
This is our experiment,
we will force who you really are
What you survive (if you survive) only makes you stranger
Tonight belongs to us.
We’ll watch the world burn.
Try stop us, we will fight,
Try catch us, prepare for the chase of your lives.
….and here we go….

Child

you so pale. stranger. friend of soul.
your back is to me now
facing the swings, the sky, the metal playground bars
child. sparrow.
pointed shoulder blades like wings
pushing at the flesh
pale skin martked - feathers breaking the surface an
angel
your hair tumbled
windswept. abandoned. dark blond hurricane.
my androgynous stormed child-bird
single
on grey skies you
long for something
I can see it in your shoulder blades hunchling
indifferent to people so long as you are not caught in metal bars and cages
what do you long for tumble-haired bird-child, stranger,
heart of my heart?
you long for the sky.

For Five Minuts

I'll gladly hide in your
garage doorway
to conceal from the neighbours
my shaking
of spingtime nerves

I've eaten fresh fruits
juicy and gorgeouse
been bitten by tropical mosquitos
and swollen, almost ripe
for your picking

your hands are shaking too

though you've long past spring
journey back
for me
Because there's rainforest body spray in my hair,
the neighbour's cant see us,
and a picture of the Amazon
hangs on your garage wall

Cursed

In absence
that led to such desire
a frail beauty
forever filled with tears of an empty empire
spoke in 'his' mothers tongue
of diamonds
and bloodshed.
He smiled,
pulled her off the silken sheets of night
"darkness is all of our light dear child
your such a beast
In light
and darkness
or absence of both."

Claudia

You, the muse of the ages
with your cupid bow lips
stained with the blood of those wikid wrecked ones
who've scared their names into the lining of your veins
You, the demons counterfit
Lucifer's angel
what are you but the pale shadow of my own pain
You, and this courtyard love affair with your childlike beauty
You haunt me endlessly, and in your eyes "vampire eyes" I am given to know what you feel when you forgive me for myself.
In the love and hate of it
you feel almost nothing at all

Cleaning Up Society

I'll bleach your summertime
get rid of the alleyway stains
the graffiti kids
it will be pure and painless
and quick as white lightening

I'll wipe away the greasy sunlight
and shepard the streetrace children safely into the embracement
of dim, airconditioned malls

I'll take away the snake-bites *
spider-bites
frost bite
vinegar the wounds for a quick recovery
and leave a fresh slate you can keep paintless

I'll show you the skeletons of beautiful sculptures
you can have them torn down (because theya re a safety risk)
eventually they'll be replaced with rose beds and
park benches
and plastic children's playgrounds

you can speak your prayers
your good intentions
to the wide eyed youth
who know the real price of marking the miles of white train tunnel
and of the unyeilding, ugly concrete
under your white summer world

* These are types of facial peircings
