Toxic Love

I sit in your webb of destruction waiting
waiting for the bite that will be suffocating
turning my love into death
as the spider takes his last dying breath,

Toxic love, the only love I know
smack in the fsce was the way I was shown
Go to your room and disappear
stop that crying right this moment did you not here?

As I sit in this webb of toxic loneliness
I make my final dying wish
to take this one risk
and let someone know i did exist.

A Few of My Favorite Things

Moon glow and angel wings
just the two of my favorite things
Moon glow flows through my veins
Angel wings float through my brain
the magic of the moon takes me far away
and the angel wings help me to stay
twinkling stars are my stepping stairs
the angel wings fly me there
Dancing on the moon, problems are gone
As the angel uses her magic wand.

Oak Tree

It was a stifling temp of 100 degrees
there was not a single breeze.
Yet the old, old, oak tree spoke to me
as I sit at Bradley's grave site in the cemetery.
I would speak out loud to Bradley through my tears
the air remained still until he heard all my fears
then that ole oak tree would bow down and whisper
It's all right mama, I am in the breeze that kisses you.
With each breath you take I take double
to let you know I am happy and free from trouble.
My sign to you is forever in the Red Rose
that you always bring me from home.
My breath that is this wind dries your eyes
and I bow down so you know, yes it's me you do see.
I love you Bradley and thank you for the sign
of a breeze on an arid day sent just for me.

The Heart of the Swing

***PROMPT 6b*** THE TALE OF THE HEART'S SWING

You see this ole swing young man
well your grandpa here made it by hand.
Yes sirree I sure did boy
this here ole swing is not a toy.

Dang I even cut down the very own tree
to make this swing for grandma and me.
I put in these curves and little things
I had to have the most perfect swing.

Well I worked day after day
carving and a cuttin no time for play.
When I got er done me and her had a little conversation
in the end of it I told her she was a sensation.

I polished her up til she shone like gold
what I was doing no one knowed.
This was back in nineteen and forty one
that was the good old days son.

I made this here sturdy ole pine swing
for your grandma to make her sing.
See I gave it to her when I made her my wife
and we have enjoyed it in our happy life.

Now listen here close boy I am givin this here swing to you
for I have something that I gotta go do.
Seems grandma is waitin at the Lords door for me
together again the two of us will be.

Now don't cry be a man,and take good care of this ole swing
lotsa life in her yet, take her and give her to your wife and make her sing.
Whatever you do in this world all I ask is for you to pass her on down when you go
this here ole swing is worth more than all of any mans gold.

I'll be a watchin you from up there in the clouds
so come now boy and always know you make your grandpa proud.
Yeah this ole swing could tell you some stories
time for me to go now remember I always loved ya boy.

It May Just Be Jesus Without His Crown

This is for all the angels walking this earth
there for us when we die and when we give birth.
You know their an angel by looking into their souls
you see running rivers of Jesus's sparkling gold.

The old man laying in the gutter crying for his family
helped up and cleaned up fed a warm meal that is what the angels see.
A mother and child just walking the streets with no where to go
an angel of mercy takes them by the hand and finds them a home.

These angels don't show their wings
but you can hear them sing.
Just go where people are in such need
that is where the angels go at lightening speed.

The next time you are tempted to put someone down
they may be Jesus without the thorny crown.
Be careful how you judge or what you might say
Angels on earth will pass you by when you need them one day.

Remember the homeless the hungry, the poor and the lost
then Remember Jesus up on that cross.
He didn't do it just for the healthy and rich
Jesus did it for the mercy of all men if your soul He finds fit.

My Minds Dream

Today was such a glorious day
the birds sung and the rabbits played.
I closed my eyes and my mind just let go
took me to a place way past the rainbow.

It was magical what took hold of me
the most wonderful ever dream.
A place with many different signs
like love, harmony,peace and kind.

The colors were exquistive and never seen
my mind was lost deep in this dream.
It was so wonderous and full of grace
I was allowed to see Gods shining face.

God stood with arms opened welcoming and wide
as I gently walked to them inside.
It was time for me to return home
no, please let me stay and roam.

I open my eyes and there I sit
look down and see my old cat.
I wonder do cats minds dream
over the rainbow to the angels wings?
