Shaheeds Kids

My Children

I was a boy, a child of 18 years,
You came home into the world made me a man,
And now I’m working hard just to be there,
This separation is simply unfair.

I never knew how much I’d love you both,
I thought I could be strong without you there,
I lost you that was when I realised,
How much I miss the sunshine in your eyes.

Your hair, I want to stroke it all the time,
Your skin, I want to feel it close to me,
There’s nothing in the world that I want more,
Than my children to know that I adore.

I love you both and that is just the truth,
There’s nothing that will ever come between,
My love for you will never cease to grow,
My love has more colours than a rainbow.

Anything, everything, just ask. You are my life and I love you.

Brothers, a Poem For a Good Friend.

Brothers.

As a twin I feel we should always be joined,
And as twins I feel we will achieve great things,
I’ll not forget the time I nearly let you go
With our time our relationship will bring;

What will it bring this great protection that we have,
For it is said we have a bond like no others,
What will we do, such a love with no compare,
There’s no compare, we’ll have to chance it and dare.

Our bond is threatened and it makes me feel shame,
Like I’m bullied, I might well be back at school,
I would like it if you recognised my skills,
It’s integral, yet I feel like such a fool.

I know that you may feel this is untrue,
But at my silly age like you I’m insecure,
And alone I miss the bond we used to have
A bond so strong, unbreakable it was so pure.

As my twin brother you will always be the one,
You will always be the person that I love,
And I’d do anything for you, and you should know,
That my love for you will always grow.

You are my brother and I love you.
