Lifeless Love

Desert plains, love dies.
Lust remains we say goodbye,
Pain is crucial now.

Soul Mate

Have a seat come talk with me,
Where the ocean touches the earth’s sand,
Underneath coconut trees where love lingers throughout the inland,
Watch the sunrise and set.

Where the ocean touches the earth’s sand,
Love is embedded onto me with a simple touch from your,
Fingertips, I love you.

Underneath coconut trees where love lingers throughout the inland,
We breed such beautiful children,
May they be fruitful and noble men.

Watch the sunrise and set,
As the foundation of our future unfolds,
We shall prosper for eternity.

In Our Next Lifetime

Losing you could not have left,
A more tragic scar on my well being,
I used to fall asleep and dream,
That you were well and alive,
But every time the sun hits the horizon,
I can't help but cry,
Hard,
Long,
And uncontrollably.
Where does our future go now?
Everyone tells me don't worry,
“You can't sit and stress.”
But if they knew how deep the love,
They’d be just as depressed.
I love you more than anything,
You taught me more than many things,
And when I meet you in the afterlife,
Promise you'll never leave my side.

Sonnet: Always Love You

Sonnet: Always Love You

Each day I place my heart in my minds position,
I sit back as my soul begins to plea,
Stuck as I watch my emotions in a collision,
I always thought this was meant to be.

I do not think you realize the pain that I endure,
I have done right by you for many years,
You give me less I give you more,
Not a handkerchief could wash away these tears.

Yet, despite your cold heart I have made up every excuse,
Because to you I vowed my love,
You are the one I choose,
I will accept your flaws thereof.

Even if you never see us as I do,
Forever I will always love you

Lifeless

The ER is a very chaotic place sometimes,
Happy people trying to save lives,
Good mornings escape into late evenings,

& No one will ever know when their time comes….

They called my phone said some blood was spilled,
Trauma room, a spirit gone away…

The puddle of blood was immense,
I’m sure she lost gallons,
Her eyes slightly open, will an absent sound of IV machines,
as I stare at this lifeless human being,
I begin to think back to my family.
There is nothing more traumatizing than witnessing a young teenage girl,
Discover the news of her mother, that has passed.

Even tears couldn’t show my sympathy.

Her hand had lost its grasp,
Blood dripping as I struggle between human emotion and professionalism,

NEVER WILL I EVER FORGET THIS DAY
August 27, 2012

Rest In Peace to a stranger that I will never know. Much love to the family that will miss her dearly

Her Letter To Men I

I've had many men in my life,
Not one to this day has done me right,
Trying to focus on one man,
Show him my vision of peace conquering our lands,
Instead he’d rather blow plans,
All in my text inbox just to pull down my pants,
Now the lust comes rushing,
Now my blood flow is flushing,
Creating the empty spaces full of unrecited knowledge
Traded with passion that he desires more than learning my mind.
I’m trying to make difference in this world,
Or at least inspire,
The man that I need has to be ready to build empire,
Instead he,
Tryna find my spots, think he callin shots, meanwhile my birthday is forgotten,
He tugs my heart along a joyride so hard it fell out socket.
All I ever wanted was to give my all to a man,
Fully capable of understanding there is compromise in love, life.
I’m so ready to be wife,
And I have neglected me,
While he is steadily on the run, in the streets, never checkin for me,
I’m in class, trying to make time pass,
Hoping that the next is everlasting.
The ship has wrecked,
I’m living reckless,
My heart is cold,
He has no regrets.
He tells me It’s over,
I want closure…..
Why do men do this to good women?

Waves

My ocean has waves.
Waves that clutch pain,
Thrash against shore,
I'd be out of my mind,
If I said I was well,
I waited for time to tell,
Still you never came to my aid.
Every six seconds you disappear,
We should have learned our lesson,
But things have been this deranged since last year.
My tears are weightless,
Invisible because I can't cry,
I wonder if the pain would be any different,
If you were a stranger,
Yet I am so close to you,
In the sense that you made me.
However I can't find the bond,
The one we've been yearning for so long,
So why should I be wrong?
Excuse me for my attempts to care,
Excuses on important dates when you couldn't be there,
I am at fault?
Not fair.
My ocean has waves.
Waves that wash up hope,
Hope that you will realize before we escape,
Hurry before it's too late.

Untitled

Waiting for that moment,
That will probably never come,
Sitting on branches of uncertainty,
Under the Banyan.
Letting the spirits run lose,
And conquer my soul.
Lost without any form of love left,
in these veins,
Short of one single inhale,
Gone, in the wind.

A Poem Without a Title

The feather fluttered,
The human stuttered,
The world stands cluttered,
Who speaks on behalf of children not mothered?

I am bothered.

Looking further where my father is still absent,
And abstinence is a ripe taste too long ago taken to remember.
I am taunted and tormented,
Flaunted and resented,
My life planned out like a four-story apartment complex construction site
In the center of the ghetto,
Where my mental capacity flows into meadows of early goodbyes,
And rushed hellos.

I am bothered.

Searching for self proclaimed sanity,
But somewhere I lost half of me,
Now I blend in unhappily,
Sadly running after time in my own clash of fantasies,
Smiling.
My grin from ear to ear took tears to be revealed,
The pain I undergo one day must be healed.
Pleading, overseeing, and the lack of believing have deceived me, now I’m dealing, feeling, and faithfully healing, peacefully.
Unbothered.

Purple Twilight

The sunset allows my mind to explore purple and gold highlights,
Deep within his soul are mines of pure twilight,
The never ending river of lost treasures,
Bring love to us forever and ever.
