Rose Coloured Glasses

I want rose coloured glasses,
To watch the world burn and misty mushrooms fill up the sky.

I want rose coloured glasses,
To watch the sun's rays shine from window tops.

I want rose coloured glasses,
To accept my defeated fate in the ruins of the golden antiquity.

I want rose coloured glasses,
To keep breathing through the glass piercing my soul.

I want rose coloured glasses,
To keep believing I exist.

I want rose coloured glasses,
To see the future within me.

When I think of you

When I think of you, a memory awaits.
So deep within me that walls crumble at the sheer force of your gaze.

When I think of you, a sweet smell arrives.
Like fresh baked buns or the odor of fresh flowers lingering in the air in spring.

When I think of you, nostalgia clings to me for a sore sight that shall never be viewed again. (Or was never seen in the first place.)

When I think of you, an emptiness like no other takes my hand where you should be.

When I think of you, I remember I have not met you yet and a tingling feeling takes place in my belly.

When I think of you, a path appears of new adventures and meets. I search longingly for you to find me and me to find you.

When I think of you, my smile fades and longing takes hold. I have found home

Who am I

Who am I,
but a woman with atlas's burdens on her shoulders.

Who am I,
but a little girl trying her best in life's arena.

Who am I,
but a flower waiting to bloom in withering winter.

Who am I,
but an impostor trying to find balance in the injustice and fog.

Who am I,
but structured stardust in the blazing sun.

Leaf

I've been trying to find balance in the sheets,
but they keep scolding me.

For action to be taken, my dreams shall disappear.
And the knife is forced up to my very soul.

When will this torment end and I'll be able to see the rainbow upon the valley?

Will my heart be able to take everything that is yet to come or shall I wither and die in the youthless pit of hope?

Is that all there is or am I closed as a clam to the splendours of the world?

I am nothing but a leaf.
