Underneath

Sometimes i wish
That i could crawl out of my skin
Bare all my sins
Flay myself open
And watch as i bleed
Maybe then i might feel
Some sense of release
A lessening of the weight
That suffocates me as i try to breathe
Maybe if i could breathe and i could see
I might not feel so dirty
But if i bare all my sins
And let everything out in the air
People would really see
The pathetic being i am underneath

Feel you

I can feel you as if you were me
I can feel it in the air I breathe
The feeling of a crescendo
 reach out but nothings there
 panic slowly
Bide time and wait in lay
 crawling the pavement
Palms waste away. blood in their wake
Reminded that this all just happens
The day passes by. we waste away
Not realizing the real waste
Scream it into the air
the throat is raw
nothing will come
 But still feel you there
It's the rush of air through the vent
It's the drip drip drip
The faded walls
This is a cage
Why can't I stop
With the writing on the wall
Faded in the dark
Cold tile chilling
 Walls embracing whispers

Missing you

Reception that isn't perceived
 message said but not heard
lack of communication
means to no end
disconnect with no plan
Pushing to no point
Fighting for no eventuality
You lay sleeping
And in a way I suppose we are close
But in another we are as far away as we can get
One in this realm and one in another
I can hold your body close but your not there
I still feel lonely inside my head
I see you in passing here and there
Life keeps us apart as best it can
We call on the phone for some semblance of closeness
But it's simply a pretense
Maybe one day will see each other like we used to
But not today or tomorrow
So take my love and hold it tight
It's what you have to hold at night

Aimless unknown

Aimless I wander
Seeking but lacking
That which I hide
Not only from you
But also from me
I know not what I know
For how could I really
When I know not why I wander
And know not what I seek

I have come

I have come to learn
That what I seek
Is so very out of reach
Wanting that which does not exist
A love beyond love
A yearning so deep
Emotions so distant
I cannot have that which I covet
For like I said before
It simply does not exist
A love so breathtakingly unique

Distance

I'd like to say I feel so close to you
But the distance between us would beg to differ
I wish it was as simple as a car trip away
But the distance between us is something much bigger
It's people and miles all wound up together
So we are left yearning for something so unattainable
Left alone in our memories of times almost forgotten

Vacant

Vacant eyes
Rough hands
Mother's weeping
Water raging
Soul sleeping
Angels grasping
Earth unholy
Glass breaking
Horns blaring

Know not

Aimless I wander
Seeking but lacking
That which I hide
Not only from you
But also from me
I know not what I know
For how could I really
When I know not why I wander
And know not what I seek

Yearning

Yearning deep
Leaves cracking
Pain shuddering
Hearts beat
Touches spark
Wild teeth
Run fast
Forest fire
Nothing waits
Everything ages

Darkness

Is the dark dangerous
Or simply so vast
And so complex
That the thought of it
Seems to cause fear
So i ask
Does fearing something
Make it dangerous
Or is it simply the frame of mind
And if you were to change the frame
Would it change the fear
