Wounded Sigh

my mother is strong
     and she cries
every day is one away
     from the first destruction.

my father is weak
     and he dies
each year spent in search
     for the end.

I am the junction
     and I sigh
with the struggle to know
     the power of the present.

Icy Embrace

Your strong ebony arms hold my white transient body.
We are lovers now,
coupled in the cold night,
neither as bold without the other.

I will leave you soon,
tears falling.
You will stand stark in winter waiting,
eager for your spring lover.

Reverse Graffiti

Whispered command
through the veil of existence.
Ancient conjurer,
with each gesture
coaxing shadows,
the light yielding to your will.

The Everyday

I see you,

my hero with bent wings.

Dark circles meet the laugh lines at the corner;

I smile into your worried coffee eyes.

Our life

Our love

The everyday is right and good

and drains

a little bit from our life pool.

We stand by the sizzling pan,

and hold each other tight.
