Fear of God

Fear of God

The Crackling ice
Put the fear of God in you
When you see a
A crack under your feet
Run the length of the ice.

Lone Survivor

Lone survivor
July 3, 2015
~+~
I sit alone in my basement all hunkered down
My faithful dog with me
Because tonight is the night of firecrackers
And firework, yep it’s the 4th of July.
*
My dog gets to wear a rap around cover
I get just my basement,
You see I am a lone survivor just like my dad
He from world war 2 me Vietnam.
*
My platoon was on patrol when we saw some
Kids playing baseball it was on the 4th of July
So we asked kids if they wanted to play us
Sure thing, as we were playing an enemy.
*
Patrol had seen us and hit us as we were playing baseball,
I got hit in the leg and fell down my buddy was hit
In the head and killed he fell over me
I played dead as they check us over.
*
It took me three days to crawl back to base
All platoon was wiped out but me.
So on this 4th of July like others
I will hate and hunker down as the damn firecrackers
And fireworks go off…

A Battered Woman

A Battered Woman
                         *
When God made woman, he gave her one of
mans ribs which made her part of him in spirit
and soul. So men you are to be as kind to your
wife as yourselves because they are part of you.
~
If you are beating on your wife, then what will
she have to give you in return? When you change
her character you’ll no longer have the wife you
married. Does that still make you feel like a man?
~
You men, you know who I am talking about, the
ones who never hit but use words to do their dirty
work for them. They’re just as vicious as their foil,
only they dig deeper and are much more hurtful.
~
Yep, these guys go where none has gone before they’ll
destroy her families cause they’ve got to keep her from
them; he’s done his evil by calling her all types of angry
names and tearing her down in front of their friends.
~
He’ll leave scars that run deeper in her which might
take an entire lifetime to heal ... Since these guys have
done their worst; now it is our turn, we’ll with patience
and understanding will try to help repair the damage done …..
~
Then we’ll reap the benefit of having a most
loving heart-filled woman melting into our caring
and loving hands. All because one man did not
take care of his most prized treasure, his wife…

When God Made a Woman

When God Made a Woman
~*~

~+ ~
To my loving wife Sally Ann
 When God made a woman

I am so thankful that when God made a woman,
From Adam's ribs that before He made her
That He also added a bit firefly spirit, a touch of
unfiltered love that goes right to the man's heart.
~
That He also had time add that composure,
Made her little stubborn at times;
That to make us men behave, so badly,
That she'd get what she wanted in the first place.
~
However, He also added a soft spot in her,
Her heart always had room for her children,
Yet there is just enough room for her man,
She would show him her passion from deep within.
~
But, don't let another feline try getting near her man,
Her claws would come out, taking on any who wanted hers;
God must by accident took some man's backbone to put in her,
Because once she is in love, she'll try anything to keep him,
Fully to her alone; so there's no looking back.
~
Yep, I am glad and thankful to my Lord
That He chose to use a part of me to make a woman,
And that He lead her to where I was,
That between the two of them I now have this grand wife.

I Am An American

I am an American
-:-
My Americans, what America is going through right now
Is not about politics; or Democrats versus Republicans.
It is an assault on the American way of life; because of
What it stands for, freedom. This is not the time to
Look away and not make waves. No this is the time
To be informed, some Muslims like ISIA has said it is
Their goal to get rid of our way of life. It is time to pray
For God help and give us the wisdom to know what is needed
To be done, not leave it to our children. This is what I
Believe in: I am an American. I believe in God, family
And country. I don’t have much to give, but I’ll share
What I do have. I have been beaten down by politicians
And liars. They have tried erase my identity and my pride.
However, I’m an American, I was a soldier, I will salute my flag
(The red white and blue.) honor and respect my
Constitution for the right to be free; I will bow only
To God and I will stand in for the truth. So no man can
Ever take that away from me; the right to choose
My region, my God and all men and women to be free
And I will never turn my back to my country or God;
I do swear.

My Love, My Life

My Love, My life
~
My life have been without any feelings or love
I felt like I might go fade away in some place
My life felt tangled as if stuck in a mangrove
With no way of getting the hell out the rat-race.
She would at last make me feel complete to my soul
Just maybe we were both prime and ready to be caught
We both met for me be strong enough and to able hold
I’m bit of heaven when I’m in her arms at night
Lose all track of time but who is counting anyways
When we are in each others arms on weekend-nights.
Sally has brought joys into my life; into my ways
The day we were married she set free the doves,
I knew I’d be with you till I die my dear love…

Old Man Sitting Alone

Old Man Sitting Alone
Steve L, Siegel
Sept. 2015
-:-
I sit here with my dog as cars go whizzing by past
Time even seem to go by slower yet
Most of my friends are now put to rest
Soon that be my fate, as well as my pet.
-:-
I sit here as an old man looking up at my flag
Seeing all the trouble around me
I know my time here is starting to slag
When I’m looking at my flag I want you to see what I see.
-:-
A country that is strong and full of fight
A spirit that will never die
All working together can sit in the light
Neat and tight as a well tied tie.
-:-
I ask you not to forget your brothers and sisters
They are what holds this great nation together
Their sacrifices were great, do not shed tears
They fought for you even in the worst of the weather
-:-
It’s our spirit and dreams that gives this nation breath
Giving it, its life and freedoms that we get too enjoy
Helping a neighbor is not a sin, let that be our wealth
For everyone in their lives is needing a little joy.
-:-

Listen, My Son

Listen, My Son
Steve L. Siegel
July, 2015
~:~
My son, don’t tell me that you’re not important!
That is simply wrong and not ever going to be true
The fact that you even was born
Should give you proof that God has plans for you.
~:~
The pathway may seem unclear to you right now
But one day, soon I hope, you’ll see
That God has plans for you all along
And you were truly meant be part of this life.
~:~
God has already written the book that is your life
That is the thing you need to know my son
Each and every day that you are living
This book was written for you a long time ago.
~:~
Oh my son, know that God does not write duds
He only writes the best sellers
So be proud of what and who you are
Because in Gods book you are the star.
~:~
I know that, so does God!
If you need help don’t feel lost
You can call either one of us
And we’ll be there help you out.
~:~

A Soldiers Last Taps

A Soldiers Last Taps
Steve L. Siegel
July, 2015
~:~
Yesterday as I walked among long rows of crosses
To where a soldier was being put to rest
I heard twin sounds of bugles playing taps
We all stood with heads bent low in prayer
~:~
It brought back thoughts of my fallen buddies
I had known such a long time ago
They came from across this fertile land of ours
From the cities and the farmlands.
~:~
I feel a little guilty at times my sacrifice was small
I lost only but a little of my time
But some of these men lost their all
They kept the faith, and fought the fight.
~;~
Through the delta to jungles of I-Drang up to Kay San
We fought the fight and gave our lives for freedom sake
Earning our last reward to God and Country
For that’s job of your Soldiers and Veterans...
~+~
P.S. On this picture I took it Near Port Angles WA.
It had been raining most the day and just before sunset
This is what I got. I had this picture in my file for a long time
Just never seened like it fit in until now.

NO PICRURE HERE IT WON"T LET ME PUT IT ON
