You

Your name brings life to my soul
Your smile gladdens my heart
Your voice gives strength to my drive
Your breath is an endless fragrance
Your warmth reassures me
Of an endless love that I crave

He Knows - John 17

He knew it will all happen
He saw it as it appeared in the air
He could help it and make a difference
But he allowed it
All for a purpose
To glorify the father who sent him

Though he was God
Who saw everything before they saw the light
He waited to feel our thoughts
Moving by our passion and earnest desire
Compelled by our preoccupation
He was moved
To play out his predestined role

We had thought him to be all powerful
Staying for and perfecting his will
But he had stayed by the side so close
Desiring to be moved by our passion
And to be driven by our emotions
He desires to feel our warmth
So he would work out his plans concerning us

Just Do It

It bothered my heart and disturbed my peace
My joy was stolen and all that I depended on failed
My hands ceased to work and my feat froze
Defeat and demotion and discouragement prodded on.

Everything around have gone the other way
Nothing had remained in its place
Nothing to hold on to because all had failed
I would not do anything because I did not trust my strength

Who would help my helplessness?
Nobody would come and rescue me
Everybody had faced their vocation and calling
I have been left all to myself

I will rise if I would stand
I have held myself to the ground so long
My head should hear my heart
And lift my feet until I stand

My feet should hear my head and stand
Lifting the whole body and working with my hand
Until my whole strength is restored
And then I could do what I should do.

Honie.

I have realized now more than ever what love is.
Love is all about knowing you,
It could be about sharing a thought with you,
Or hearing the sound of your voice

I saw love that day
When you took my hands and looked into my eyes,
I heard love
When you whispered to my ears how you felt about me

I have felt love just once,
That time you held me close to yourself
With the sound of our hearts complementing one another,
And our limbs went numb

Thank you for teaching me what love is;
Love’s all about spending life with you

Throne Room Affair

Solemn
Silence forever
Soundless
No intrusion
No external influence
Just hisses
As the clock stayed

Souls were tied
Hearts were knitted
Voices were mastered
Scents were preserved
And images were exchanged

The experience lasted a life time
The memory livens the heart
The thought and the remembrance
The mind cherishes

A the room affair
An experience ever desired
To be relived all through life

The Source Spoke

The source spoke
At the sound of his voice
Light came out of darkness
Formlessness took shape and voidity made meaning
Then appeared the sun
Bringing life and peace and hope
Giving assurance that life will be sustained
And at dusk the moon rose
Suggesting rest to the body
And prepares the mind for tomorrow

One day after another life made sense
Rivers sprang up
Grasses grew
Shrubs and trees and desert plants
All broke through the ground and took their places
One animal strode across, and another followed
In the droves they came and made the vegetation lively

Yet one thing remained
Joy was stayed because man was yet to be revealed
Then at the fullness of time he came
To live in bliss
As all things are ready for the appearing

The source has started.
He spoke and brought light
His word brought orderliness in chaos
He held the boundaries of the oceans
Suspended the clouds on nothingness
Kept the cattle on the mountains
And crude in the swamps
And will always stand true
When man’s gaze is stayed on Him

Cradle of Life

The days started and life began
The streams took their place and mountains their stand
The trees grew and the grasses squatted,
The shrubs and the mangroves
All took their shape and made life beautiful.

Everything set
All put in their place.
Nothing was out of order
But made to suit the being that will soon come

Then the decent takes effect
Preparations completed
The stage set
Nothing to work for
As all things have been laid from the cradle of life

He stood there to make all things right
Made the stage ready
Provided for contingencies
And all that will emanate as the days go.

He knows the way
He has been to the destination
And would gladly lead whoever cares to follow him
The needs on the way he will provide
At cold nights his warmth will be sufficient
And when the night comes he will follow you home

He is friendlier than a friend
Cares more than the eyelids to the eyeballs
Secures more than a thousand soldiers would
And loves more than the thoughts could imagine
He has made all things right
And would gladly give
If you shall seek the source

The Garden

They were there together
In bliss and harmony
Enjoying life to the fullest
And consumed in one another
Perfection was in place
And orderliness was real

No stress, no work
No rain for the Lord watered the earth from under
All kinds of trees grew
A garden was planted
And in the middle stood the tree of life
With the knowledge of good and evil

Adam with his wife eve tended the garden
Walking in the serenity of the day
And the calmness of the evening
Sitting often by the banks of the Rivers that watered the garden
And listening to the Rivers as they flowed

When they were told to eat everything
But the tree of life
The adversary came,
With his lies and deceit he lured them to sin
The heeded to his pleas and suggestions
And fell like a pack of cards

No remedy
No help
No comfort
Chaos returned
And distress rained
Fear and shame ruled supreme

Who shall redeem man?
Who shall restore dignity to man
And take him back to where he belong

In His Presence

Imaginations without limits
Wholeness of awe
No sound was heard
The body crumbles
‘Cos the feet loose their strength

Silence without end
Glory beyond description
Joys to overflowing
Warmth have skipped
Memory elopes
Nothing would contain
Would have skipped
Memory elopes
Nothing would contain
What this presence brings
No comparisons
No alternatives
Everything beyond words
Where the soul is nourished

Spoken Word

You said your mercies are new
With the dawn of a new day
Your mercies are renewed
And your faithfulness made greater

With the long night over
You have made your promises sure
Like the breaking of a new day
Your word has been sent out

That you shall make our ways prosperous
That our strength shall be renewed
That your light shall lead our path
That your favour shall go before us

You have never failed in your promises
You stand faithful and true
Your love holds no limits
They are shared abroad in our hearts

Because you are truly awesome
We cannot do anything without you
We therefore pray
That your hand shall
Manifestly rest upon us
