Can'T Let Go

Out of Sight
Out of Mind
Long Ago
Ne'er to Find

Long Past Due
The Cards to Show
Me and You
Can't Let Go

I Don'T Care (Part I)

I don’t care about ‘I do’
About your vows
What they mean to you

I don’t care about your life
Your family woes,
Your kids, your wife

I don’t care to be your shrink
To inspire your dreams
To help you think

I don’t care what’s inside
That draws me near
Then makes me hide

I don’t care what you see
Those fierce blue eyes
They cut through me

I don’t care to let it show
All I care
You’ll never know

Again

Shadows flood the rainbow’s end
Handcuffed to the bed again
Worry not unsettled mind
The funhouse will return on time

Raise Your Flag

Raise Your Flag
You’ve got me now
You sucked me in
Take a bow

Sew your oats
Leave none to spare
Then resume your role
Over there

Twenty’s your number
That’s your plan
But fifteen more
Is where I am

Raise Your Flag
You’ve had your fun
But I won’t be
The conquered one

Atop

Atop your pedestal
Life is grand
Brain in pocket
Deed in hand

‘Tis a cage not a refuge
Ignorant bird
But “let’s all eat cake”
‘Twas all that was heard

More

If I was more
You would do your best
The screen would fade
The mouse would rest

If I was more
You would stand in line
Fearing the cost
Of wasted time

If I was more
Your gaze would lift
The eye would focus
Attention shift

If I was more
You would not wait
To make a home
To set a date

If I was more
I would know best
To fly away
And never rest

Words With God

S.L. to God:	Lord
Please save me from this endless end
		Cupid’s grasp
		I fear defend

God to S.L.:	Child
What trouble does thy bruised heart tend
		Fear not
		True love shall never end

S.L. to God:	Lord
‘Tis love so true I must transcend
		I am nothing
		But a friend

Knowing

What is worse than knowing
and knowing it with all of your heart
and knowing that pride and circumstances are such
that you will never say it
and knowing that he knows it too
and that whether or not he wants to
he knows he can never say it
and knowing that if it is ever said
the door can never be closed
and nothing good would ever come of it
and knowing that it will hang there
just like that
always
