The Most Selfless Creatures

I feel suffocated nowadays
amidst the pollution spreading at a fast pace
but I do see friendly hands approaching,
they save me at a situation that's life taking.
They are the reason our world still has some warmth
Let's conserve those plants before they are completely lost....

The Most Precious Blessing

The woman of my life
who has inspired me to thrive
even in the tough times
when no one lies on your side.

She would deliver a number of scoldings
For my neverending tantrums
My face as a weeping philosopher
Would be called a Potato just for fun
but my egoistic self would take everything seriously
and I would sit in one corner and stay anonymously

Then she would come and give me a warm hug
a little bit of pricking of my chubby cheeks as well
My heart would melt in a second unknowingly
And my face would bear a smile glowingly

As I grew up, I could make out her troubles
The n-number of hobbies that she had to give up
By listening to our Judgemental society where prevailed
the old and annoying practice of suppressing ambitious women

I saw her helpless and even broken at times
but she concealed everything with a lot of fake smiles
Never did she wonder that I could read everything
coz' her eyes spoke more than she could mention anything

She didn't let her circumstances touch her inner strength
She emerged as a gallant woman, beauty with brain
She would speak back to people who were fastidious
and walk proudly carrying forward her actual purpose

While displaying all this she actually became a true inspiration
as she built the pillars of my upcoming character
She will always be my lucky charm and happy ball of sunshine
And that's how my dear mother is the special woman of my life

Identity: An Effortless Masterpiece 'Apparently'

Identity is like that bead of a necklace
Or a beautiful rose of a flower vase
the prettiest smile on someone's face
or even a kind act in the fast world pace

Yet we don't know how things might turn out
Identity is a small glimpse of how something appears out
there might be something more mingled with it
Which is faint enough to be seen at first sight

The bead of that necklace from under the seas
is found as a reward of search for hours,
The beautiful rose that is felt enchanting
has thorns abided by in the very same body
Yes! the ones present even during the time,
when this rose was a bud, fresh and benign
They protected it from all the ruthless beings
by pricking them with their sharp carvings

The prettiest smile as we all see
Was once tortured by circumstances circling
It had to bear the pain of faking identity
in hope of never repeating again and giving it any priority,
An act of kindness in the world presently,
Is like a shining lamp in the darkness surrounding
The darkness of cruelty that spreads far and wide
And covers a distance of thousands of miles

When something is identified as it appears to be
It does have a background that's blurred to merely see
But one day this apparent identity might exchange
position with the background after having no words to explain
Or make people realise the truth of its appearance
And that's how "Identity shifts" come into existence....

They Say He's a Loser

It was a normal afternoon
All I could hear was a happy tune
The tune of my life sweet as my dreams
The air of celebrations around me as it seemed.

I had a special person back then
Whose presence was enough to make my life heaven
I played in his lap and spent my childhood happily
And relived those memories, it felt like a fantasy!

But days to come had a big lesson to teach
I didn't realise it soon but the lesson was preached
Some people lost hope, Some cried all day long
For the special person of my life was being treated wrong

His smile faded, his tears falling short
Of the pain that he was experiencing forth
A lot more plots were yet to come
His scars destined to go deeper and become
the tokens of reward that he had achieved
For the old days when he had done great deeds
To the same people who considered him to be an Angel
And talked of doing absolutely anything if enabled

But never did they turn up in their own words
That's the rule of world that my special one never deserved
For now he had lost everything that he had
Even the handful of happiness was gone as falling sand

Days passed and things turned from bad to worse
The butterfly days were over and never probable to return
That's the lesson I deliver, to create memories with your loved one
Because you never know conditions that might lead to a different person
It might lead to someone whom you have never encountered
But seen in your entire life nevertheless in the same manner
The missing part has seemingly no justification
But that's a gift of fate which is their own creation....

The Best Train Journey Is Life Itself

My life is like a train
where passengers enter in leave
they turn into my reverie
on this tiresome journey

This journey is so long
but it always seems short
coz' time flies away soon
and nothing stays for long
neither my reverie nor my content
some unfavourable times arrive
that surely disappoint.
My train halts at many stations
picking up numerous people,
but does it always taken in
good people who are congenial?

Everything good isn't in my lot,
There are people who'd demoralise me a lot,
some more would trap me in their sugary web
of gracious speeches hiding their contempt
and then some day, taking complete advantage
they'd throw me out of my own train....
They'll intentionally teach me a big lesson
putting a question mark in front of my perception
of how the world appeared in my first impression
and how it turned out to be after realisation....

But times never stop me from being committed and strong
everything happens for a reason after all
I do feel disheartened, broken and frustrated
Time seems to have stopped as per my brief mindset
that's when I get going to my lost train
turning all my energy into my driving fuel,
there would be two outcomes at the end of this run
but I make sure that I push myself to a peak performance
before I fall behind to try any further
at least I wouldn't regret that I didn't even persevere....

Our fate is in the hands of a driving force
the one that drives our train or brings it to a standstill
the one that decides to stop at or ignore approaching stations
the one that weaves our life, a compilation of journeys and experiences...

To My Best Friend

I met you all of a sudden,
At a time when I had no one.
No one who could feel the inner me,
No one who could comprehend the outer me.

It was your ribbon that grabbed my attention,
Your innocent eyes spoke more that anything you could mention,
The cutest sweet smile that you always wore,
Is that one thing about you that I will always adore.

We shared the same bench,
The same way back from school,
Sometimes indulged in endless talks,
Not willing to take steps back for home walks.

A night lover met a day dreamer,
A Karate blue belt met a dancer,
An introvert met an ambivert,
But at the end you met an exceptionally crazy creature.

I was at times wrong with you,
And at an instance you needed me too.
I even grew self-centred perhaps,
But you were there for me always.

The best and most loyal friend,
Was the one I was searching for,
And since I am blessed with you here,
I'll cherish you in my life forever.

Me : In and Out In Short

Have you ever felt not wanting anything new,
coz' the flashback of old memories gives a lot of pleasure to you,
that pleasure is incomparable to what you see in front of you,
The place where you once were is now filled with many like you.

Accepting the present is the biggest challenge for you,
Being surrounded by many is like surrounded by few,
of whom you know well and many of whom you don't wanna know,
Why is the apparent cloud of happiness showering depressive rain on you?

And then comes the want of getting new friends,
little over a lot happiness seems better than a lot sadness,
You try befriending everyone around you,
but why does the look of them comprise the most unfriendly hue.

Still now I'm wondering what the missing part really was,
Was it my beauty and personality that was the prime cause,
of this unknown hostility and hatred and jealousy,
Seems like I'm done with this want of making friends surely....

I drop all my expectations,
even the idea of creating memories,
People now call me boring and useless,
but make sure that they take advantage of my innocence.
I start taking stands for myself,
but failure becomes the ultimate achievement,
I spend nights crying and questioning life,
creeping into the shadows of depression.

Why do the words of people
stab me so easily?
Why do I feel like crying
everyday and all the time?
Why do I repeat my errors
when I've committed them priorly?
Why am I so foolish
unlike a lot many?

These questions ring in my head,
weeping seems the only therapy,
But practically it's not the solution,
of how I should be living.

That's when I fake my smile,
hold back my tears,
Pretend to be absolutely well,
Step back from sharing my problems,
control my agitation,
Bear all the toxic people,
Coz' that's all my life is meant to be,
And there comes the end of this story....

The Colour: Green

When I was born, they gave me life
When I was lost, they inspired me to thrive
The shades of green that were around me alike
Interacted with me more than anyone could even try

The greenery that surrounds us symbolic of tranquility,
Calms your mind and gives you the pleasure of great quality
Greater than what we encounter in our grey shaded lives,
full of creatures hostile and unpredictable at times.

In a cruel world where we live,
let's cherish what we have around
Because no matter WE are good friends or not
They unhesitantly serve for us a lot...

So Utilise your backyard by growing lovely plants,
Watch them often and create a soft corner in your heart,
An air of pleasure will surely surround you in a while
And then they'll never let you go without a pretty smile...

When Maturity Hits Hard

There was a time when I was so real
I would speak my heart out with everyone
People would normalise my embarrassments
and say, "Kiddo, that's pretty common".

There was a time when I was so real
I would never hold my tears after feeling hurtful
I would refuse to talk to those who weren't familiar
There wasn't any place for pretence out there.

There was a time when I was so real
Imitating everyone's actions gave a lot of pleasure
but somewhere in the middle, I started lying
and I was given long lectures to never lie in my future....

There was a time when I was so real
'Eat, Sleep and Play' felt so practical
Playing with friends wasn't a special treat back then
Screaming, Laughing, and scribbling on walls wasn't a great deal....

Yeah, that was the time when I was real
I wasn't supposed to please everyone with a fake smile
I wasn't even considered boring if I was hurt and kept quiet
Why can't one be real and mature at the same time?

Life Is Short

It's her birthday!
Neither the first nor the second,
Just born and just celebrated,
for she has journeyed through for so long,
so long to stare at the clear sky,
so long the register as a part of the world,
so long to put an end to the prolonged wait
of all the people excited to catch her glimpse.

Her journey has a lot of parts,
Some of which were set on stormy nights,
some on exceedingly hot afternoons,
But the end result gives her all of its worth.
Let her live a life of satisfaction,
Let all the happy hours stay in her lot,
Let her be the limelight for the time when she has a deserving spot,
Let her splash some colours in people's lives as same as her colourful petals!!

It's a disheartening fact to recollect that
her life as a flower is way too short,
but it's on her to make this time memorable or not,
It's on her to bloom from a bud to see the world or not....

Yeah! her life is unpredictable, that's for sure,
some careless people might show denial in even plucking her,
but let us remember that these pleasing and cheerful creatures,
need some embracing hands to make their life worth living and memorable.

It's all in these little things that matter at the end,
the same little ones around which a lot of bigger ones revolve,
Ranging from beggining lives to the final death ends,
and comprising trivial and reliving bunch of memories....
