Never

I'm sitting on the fence between future and forever
Watching the past and my life go by
There's a fine line between someday and never
But I know in my heart I've got to try

Never, ever give up on your dreams
Said the Angel in my ear
Remember there's a connection to all life streams
He said it will be a better year

So I try to make a friend or two like me
I try to make someone smile today
I try to make a difference and help the world to see
That I really listen to what you say

Never, ever give up on your life
No matter if there's a demon in your soul
Remember there's a reason for all strife
Angels and Demons have the same goal

Overhaul

We go through life like a car
Brand new off the assembly line
Shining chrome, bright paint
With new tires full of tread

As we grow older we need oil changes
And checking our fluid levels
Checking our tire pressure
And our battery strength

Over the years we may get scratches and dents
Or have debilitating crashes
Putting us in the body shop for repair
Then we come back again shiny and new

Once again cruising on the road of life.
Until we can't do anymore and have to go to the junk yard of the sky.

Life Stuck In Fast Forward

Like Curious George discovering new things and fiddling with the old with tickles with Grandpa. You go through life. Taking things apart and scattering the pieces here and there. Putting books in the freezer and clothes in the food pantry. Where the food went, Lord only knows.

You remind me of a living tape recorder going through life syuck in fast forward in a blur of activity. Trying to accomplsh many things at omce and completing none, needing constant reminders and coaxing. Your life is full of multi-colored lights and muffled sounds moving way too fast.

You need to slow down some and put your life on pause sometime. Savor the things in life and fill your senses. There are things to savor like the smell, texture, and beauty of a flower or observing the life of a busy insect you would be able to find things. Your room would not look like a tornado hit it.

Maybe you could put your ;ofe on stop now and again and get some rest. Speaking like Mickey Mouse, speaking so quickly I have to ask you what you said. Whirling and spinning like Taz. Your nickname is Taz. Acting like Speedy Gonzales without the accent.

Slow down some- and just be my little boy today.

Metamorphosis

I, like the Phoenix rising out of the ashes, here I am again
A rainbow hiding in the clouds after an early morning rain
A diamond buried underneth tons of useless rock
A new battery in an old rusted clock

An old house being repainted in a bright hue
Old,worn out furniture being replaced with new
A tree turning green and budding with flowers in the spring
A frisbee in a forgotten closet that you can still fling

A caterpillar in a cocoon waiting to change
Like different types of flowers I need to rearrange
I feel like I'm climbing a treacherous mountain, trying to get to the top
Sometimes I feel like a merry-go-round that just won't stop

Ah Life!-it awakens the senses and hardens the heart
And breaks you out of your cocoon gradually devouring each part
It changes you not into a moth you were many years gone by
But emerges you as a beautiful, free butterfly

Prisms

Angilar Shadows

Beams of light peeking through reflections

Cheerfully dancing over the walls and floors

Dipping to and fro in solar refractions

Every light building a tapestry if wonder

Fairylike flits of gold and silver

Gathering at certain points and then dispersing

Hiding in corners and cracks and then reappearing

Idly forming circles of synchronistic power

Just as it begins to rain and the dance ceases

Kindly replaced by shadows of raindrops instead

Like a dreary grey curtain with sound effects

Mastering the sound of light hoofbeats on the roof

Never-ending payyering on the wimdows

Out comes the sun again and the joy returns

Prisms pf multi-colored made me smile

Quitely returmimh in their silemt dance

Reeling in patterns of kaleidoscope

Shimmering images in bright welcome

The changing colors made me smile

Undeniably I will be sad when the sun goes down

Violets, golds, silvers, greens and yellows

Will be departing and resting for the night

Xtras will be arriving when the moonbeams shine

Yellow sends silver amd the commence the dance

Zigzagging across the walls again

Change Me

No matter what you look like, mo matter what you do
I can't help it- but I'm still in love with you
You can change your hair, your clothes and your song
But all I have to do is look in your eyes and I'm gone

Change me-Rearrange me
Make me into what you want you want me to be
I'll be your lover, I'll be your friend
But deep inside I will never mend

Trying to break through these barriers of love
We were meant to be but not meant to see
I'll chznge my hair, my clothes and my life
But this distance between us causes our strife

Change me-Rearrange me
Broken forever and trying to pull myself together
Like a shattered figurine from an antique from an antique store
Your candy under the glass-I cannot youch
I can't get to you and you get to me

Change me-rearrange me

Life Is a Roller Coaster

Life has its up and downs

We stay steady and bring the lows to highs

Smiles can replace those frowns

So you decide to rise

Life throws complicated loops in your mind

Your energy level is getting low

So you hold on tight and work hard

And you be humble and kind

When you get to the bottom of it

You stay strapped in and go again

Stonehenge

BLUESTONES GUARDING THE MOONLIGHT

SILVER STREAKS RIPPLING OVER THE ROCKS

TOWERING GUARDIANS OF THE MAGIC CIRCLE

HUNDREDS OF DRUIDS IN ROBES OF MANY COLORS

LANTERNS OF BLUE SWING WHERE DAEKNESS DWELT

ENTERING INTO YJE GATEWAY TO ETERNITY
