Withdrawals

lots of grey
in my black & white picture of yours
the dialogues unheard
and pinching silences
of choosing the same words
as I come through
to laugh off the world
the view infront
steer clears of the fog
only to show for a second
the ever perfect smile of his
and that brings me to
 glistening over the past
how the truth seemed to be far
from the lines I drew
and so does the hope too, now

Screaming Agony

Twinge of feelings stir in my bosom
every time your eyes meet mine
reminding me of the scars of our walk
leaving trails of bitterness within
How I wish to show you
how deep your knives cut through my soul
yet you only end up seeing
how much can my heart bleed for yours

Holding Onto Memories

stepping towards you
for the first time
everything around seeming blurry blues
except for us in red taking the spotlight
with pale skies and cold weather outside
you were like the sunshine
shining its parade on me
you taking my hand, running ahead straight into your fantasy
nothing less..nothing more… perfect it was
pretending to be kids in love like older couple
pulling me closer to you
soft touches & stolen kisses
my world crashing with each moment
carrying my feelings away
slipping slowly into the crowd together
head resting onto your shoulder
striking view along the sidewalks
wondering if it’s unreal for the umpteenth time
two different tunes diffusing into one soulful music
blaming it on the universe for its dramatic play
tryin’ na stop endless times
before it keeps bringing me back to you again and again

Letting Go

forever entangled in your word riddles
cross-checking the depth of it all
meaning to leave it behind
for I know when it revealed your cards
things are spiral
hinting the inside insanity
far along the gameplay
your prayers and charms failing through
on my way making it past you
to unveil the love I deserve
and painting butterflies wherever
found my thoughts oppressed
longing for you

Tiring

when u can feel the doom
as you create ruckus
to break the shell of yours
in making your way
into the unknown
a sense of loss
overshadowed by anonymity
is all it comes down to
shaking off the cold
reaching the surface
is all it turns out to be about

Truly Yours

Riding the train on a summer afternoon
feelings of fallacy hurled upon me,
satori in my brown orbs with a speck of gold dust inside,
I was ready to take on my heels back to you,
these intrusions being new
as I cannot assert with the flow
something pulled at my soul
for I lost all track of the sea,
fortified myself down the rabbit hole
seasons turned hazy,
troubled with blurring horizons
juxtaposing everyone else’s against yours in wild tones,
tangled in circles of alliances
crestfallen over you,
just like a little parrot, the throbbing heart of mine
whispers syllables of your calling
and it brought the storm along,
the stark lightning of which struck the chord
in dissipating the blues of mine
aching to be raptured in untethered pragma of love,
while into the deepest of desolation
stepping into your territory felt far-fetched ?
moon light shepherded through
the momentary solace of the soul sought after,
etched onto my roots
when time demands of imperative forgetfulness
you remain
the footprint of yours remain unparalleled in my infinity

Weaving a Lie

telling myself the truth
until you ask me again
and my answer changes
without my heart questioning twice
all for to weave a smile on your face
to not break the hanging threads,
falling loosely onto my knees
not wanting to lose you
