Sweet Hellos and Sorrowful Goodbyes

A sweet hello.
That's how we started.
We went through our days without a care in the world.
And it all started through our sweet hello.
A sorrowful goodbye.
That's how we ended.
Our last days together were our worst.
And that last sorrowful goodbye was worst than anything we went through together.
You tried to apologize.
And I tried to forgive.
But when we couldn't apologize or forgive,
we said our sorrowful goodbye.
There will always be sweet hello's.
But none as sweet as ours was.
And there will always be sorrowful goodbyes.
But none as sad as ours was.

In the End, We Will All Be Light

I saw that light
Beautifully burning and slightly confused
Crazed white bodies dancing around it.

The electrons buzzed inside of you
with ever so much complacency.
What do you choose?

Place In This World

Why are we here?
What are we doing?
What is this world?
What is this life?
Do we really have our places in this world?
And if we do,
then where is mine?
Everyone around me has somehwere to go,
something to do.
Why don't I?
Why does everyone know what to do, and where they're going?
Why do they have a place and I don't?
Do I have one?
Do I have to find it?
Or will it find me?
Am I just going to go through life just being someone who drifts from place to
place?
Do I have a place here?
Maybe I have one,
maybe its somewhere far away from this place.
Maybe I'll find it someday.

It's Funny

It's funny how everytime you need me,
I'm there.
It's funny how everytime I need you,
you're gone.
It's funny how I'm such a good friend
and whenever you need a shoulder to cry on,
I'm there.
And when I need a shoulder to cry on,
I'm left all alone.
It's funny how when you fall,
I'm always there to catch you.
And it's funny how when I fall,
theres no one to catch me.
I fall flat on my face and you're not
there to pick me up.
Do you know how that feels?
It's funny how you act like you do.
When really,
you don't.

You Don'T Know

You think you know what happened.
You think you understand.
You think you can put two and two together.
But trust me,
you don't know.
You think that everything's alright.
You think that I'm just fine.
But still,
you have no idea.
Nothing you can do can take back what you did.
And nothing you can say can take back what you said.
Maybe if you opened up your eyes,
you'd see how bad you hurt me.
But you haven't done that yet.
And until you do,
you don't know anything aboout me.

Best Frends and Boyfriends

There are best friends.
And then there are boyfriends.
Why is it that boyfriends always come between best friends?
I see all the time how a guy can break up a friendship that has lasted almost a
whole
life.
A guy is a guy.
There are tons of them.
But there only a few people that you can call a best friend.
So don't let boyfriends drive away your best friends.
Because overall,
a best friend will stay longer than a boyfriend.

Broken Down

You finally did it.
You finally said the very last thing,
that would make me break down.
And here I am,
standing here, with tears in my eyes.
I finally broke down,
and yet you continue to laugh at me,
to point, to taunt, to carry on.
You see that I have broken down,
and yet you use this as an opportuntiy to kick me while I'm down.
Why are you like this?
When will you quit?
I've broken down,
and you are still laughing.

Why Couldn'T I Forgive You?

You've done worse things than that.
And I've always been able to forgive you.
But that one little thing.
It ruined us.
It tore us apart.
I couldn't believe it.
And I still can't.
You said you were sorry.
And you meant it.
So why couldn't I forgive you?

Open Up

You say that i need to open up and let you in.
But if I do that will you still be standing here with me?
Or will you abandon me like everyone else?
What if you don't like who I am?
What if I don't like who I am?
It scares me to think that I won't have you anymore.
That you won't be there when I need you,
or when I just want you around.
It's nice having you around.
You make me happy.
If you're not here, will I ever be happy again?
You tell me I need to open up and let you in.
And that if i dont you'll walk away.
But if you walk away I won't have you.
I won't have anyone.
So I take the chance.
And I open up and let you in.
And you're still here.
You're still here with me.
And you have no idea how much that means to me.

Something Special

What do I want today?
I want something special.
I want something unlike what I've gotten before.
But what exactly is special?
After giving it some thought,
I want something special.
And that special something is you.
