Katelyn Jackson Poem
Look around,
Do you see it?
It is the destruction of Katrina.
Listen closely,
Can you hear it?
It is the screams,
Of those in pain.
Stand still,
Can you feel it?
It is the impact,
Of a hurricane.
It is up to us.
To come together.
So, look, listen, and stand
And we will overcome!

Katelyn Jackson Poem
As the little child desperately looks around,
for comfort, he is hurting.
The mean boys are teasing
and won't leave him alone.
His mother tells him,
"Sticks and stones can break
Your bones, but words can never hurt you."
But as he grows,
He soon knows
Words can break his heart.

Katelyn Jackson Poem
Silly,silly,silly girl
Why do you live in your own little world?
You trip you stumble
sometimes you fumble.
Yet you don't want help
Never do you give a yelp.
The world can be a cruel place
It can turn and slap you in the face.
Be carefull young one
Life is not always fun.

Katelyn Jackson Poem
Ooooh the things I’ve seen
Are not so adorable
Actually they are quite horrible
Bloody wounds
In the middle of June
I pray every day
For the blue and the gray
I hope this war will be over soon
Or I just might become a loon
Ooooh the things i've seen
Blood, guts, broken bones
The sound of soldier’s mone
It’s so sad tears come to my eyes
I ask myself “why ooooh why”
Each day soldier’s get shot
Every time in a different spot
I must treat them all
Big or small
Ooooh the things I’ve seen
I know the odds are very slim
But I help all of them
I want to make every one happy
Really quick and snappy
Maybe I could
I think I should
I should call my helpful service the Red Cross
That would be nobody’s loss
Ooooh the things I’ve seen
My service would give people blood they need
This system would be free no need to beg or plead
I truly do hope my idea will work
The excitement makes me jerk
Ooooh the things I will see

Katelyn Jackson Poem
It is time once again
To go back to school.
Its time to buy new clothes and
Pull out all our pencils.
With bravery we shall march
To that awful bus stop,
Were we shall wait
To go back to school!
Little ones hide from bullies,
Best friends reunite.
Cafeteria food is served,
While children run with fright!
Back to school is fun,
but it can also be so gruesome
so come prepared
or you will be left behind!!!

Katelyn Jackson Poem
You light up my heart
Every time I see you.
The thought of you makes me smile.
You give me joy!
When you aren't near
I am sad.
In the minutes with out you,
I miss you.
You bring me joy!
I love every thing about you.
You are so perfect.
I never want to leave your side.
You grant me joy!
I can't live with out you,
you are my oxygen.
without you I would die,
but you keep me alive.
Thank you for giving me joy!

Katelyn Jackson Poem
Twirly, swirly, all around
dancing is fun,
that’s what I have found!
Up, down, touch the ground
dancing makes me giggle,
Oh! How I love the sound.
Dancing frees the soul
don’t hold back,
just let it all go!
Take a stroll
let your feet dance,
and lose control.
Dance and have a good time
having fun
doesn’t cost a dime!
Part-time or full-time
dancing is fun,
all the time!

Katelyn Jackson Poem
As I sit here
memories flood my mind.
The memories from
past relatives,
how sweet they are.
The blessed memories,
are all I have to hold on to.
As family and friends leave this earth
I am thankful for the memories.
Sweet, sweet blessed memories
