A Mistake That Killed

In a race
There I ride
I took a turn
And cost a life
With a gash in my head
I ran to the other car
Inside were two men
One I recognized
I pressed my face on the shattered glass
And found my father, whose life just passed
A rush of guilt
Killed my mind
But not as much
As I ended my father's life.

Struggling Words

Climbing into bed
Feeling the soft pillow on my head
Bring my hands together
Closing my eyes forever
Fingertips touch and clasp
Beginning my prayer at last

Having trouble starting out
Concentrating and struggling about
Frustrating in my head
Tears dwelling up and getting sad
Nothing's coming out clear
And it is very hard to hear

Feeling awful of not succeeding
Having more trouble reading
Doing my best
But trying to finish the rest
I just want to go out and play
And not have anything to say.

Dream

I've been wishing for a dream
That has never come true
And in this dream
I see a reflection of you

With the texture of your face
And your laid back style
Keeps a little special place
With such warmth for a while

You looked into my eyes
In hopes of this forever
Remembering all of the times
That we shared together

You slowly disappeared
Into the light shining through
And you simply whispered the words,
"I Love You!"

Love At Blind Sight

The voice speaks with passion
The words seem unknown
I cannot see this image
Of this man standing alone

We began our conversation
With the simple greeting of "Hello"
And he introduced his name as "Eric"
That reminded me of a villian
From a story long ago

Despite his dangerous qualities
His heart is filled with love
And although my sight is useless
That doesn't stop my heart.

Incident

Cruel fights
Emotional sights
Hatred remarks
Frightening alarms
Silent cries
Unforgettable lies
BROKEN HEARTS
and a lost soul without the other part.

And Then There Were None

Holding back
Tears
     Fall

One
  By
    One

Silent cries
Into the
      night

One
  By
    One

Sudden goodbye
Last
    Call

One
  By
    One

Writing Block

Just write
Come on just write

Write how you feel
Your emotions running crazy

Quit with the rhyming
And write

Write what you know
Make it real

Let it flow
Not stopping

Just write
And let go

Come on just write
Express your feelings

Look at you now
You're finally healing

Scared of Love

I'm scared of what i'm feeling
And how much I already know
If I can't put my finger on the problem
How will I chose which way to go?

My morals are set
I keep them close with pride
But one simple mistake
Has left me broken inside

I loved the one I knew
And love the one I know
But I may have spoken too soon
And too afraid to let go.

Stolen

The pen started in my hand
Writing forever
Never wanting to end

The pages flying by
Wondering what will happen next
In a blink of an eye

Scribbles made here and there
Ink spilled
Everywhere

Creases were being made
By the reader
Up in the corner of the page

Someone else was taking over
With a cold heart
And never sober

All of the rights were handed to him
As I watched my words
Fade within

Beneath the pages
I knew what I wrote

I fought the tears
And sold my soul

Secret Cries

You made me cry
All through the day
My tears fell down
On my face

You walked away
Without saying goodbye
While the pain that hurts
Is deep inside

With the tears that fall
I will never forget
And the night you left
You will soon regret.
