Chrystal Meth

Try her once try her twice
you'll be hooked don't be surprised
She's got you now to have and to hold
till death do you part
she won't let go
She gave you that rush
you wanted so much
In return she gave you not much
Snort her
smoke her
shoot her up it's all the same
she makes you insane
She's playing our family like a game
for destruction is the name of her game
Love is lost she won the toss
She took your heart and soul
tossed it in your bowl
She gives you days of sleepness night
hearing voices in the night
Dealing drugs
meeting seekers
Now your the true tweaker
She's got me pleading and grieving
for you to give up needing
Inside i'm crying
for fear of you dying

Lost Balloon

It's a warm sunny day
but the sun does not shine upon me
As I think of you who has
slowly slipped away
Like a balloon floating freely
in the wild blue sky
It's been many years waiting for you
That single beaming balloon
to clear away the affliction
of your addiction and rediscover
your journey back home

Magical Fairy Dust

I hear a bubbling sound
as you would while boiling water
I watch you with sadness in my eyes
as the white sparkling MAGICAL FAIRY DUST
transforms to liquid
with its unruly smell of chemicals
the kind used for household cleaning
As I sit in the chair of hopelessness
I see the MAGICAL FAIRY DUST
has lost its white sparkle
turning to smoke of grey
lost is not the magic the
MAGICAL FAIRY DUST holds
I sit anxiously like a child
waiting for the magic show to begin
What will the magic bring
I can only guess
Will it leave me feeling lonely
as if my best friend has gone away
Terrified like a mother and child
being separated in a large crowd
Feeling like an unwanted dog
being left at the dog pound
There are rare times of love
Remembering back to our cherished times
so long ago
Cuddling like a child would
with its warm furry teddy bear
Laughing resembling a crowd
at a comedy show
The magic show has begun
but i'm not the audience tonight
The MAGICAL FAIRY DUST
has taken my best friend away
Here I sit on the cold worn out cement
in front of the dog pound
Reminiscing how wonderful life was
without the MAGICAL FAIRY DUST

Grow Old With Me

As I walk the unstable plank to
GROW OLD WITH ME I in-vision
the beauty it once held

It's vibrant color is worn
much as our life is

The name GROW OLD WITH ME
with its color of red passion has
faded barely readable like our love

The deck beneath my feet is filled
with jagged edges as are our hearts

The once sturdy ropes that join the
sail no longer tightly interweave
nor do we

The anchor no longer has a strong hold
it's lost beneath the murky sea
like we

Disappeared is the warmth the galley once held
now its filled with a cold winters chill

GROW OLD WITH ME is worn so am I
can we bring back the love
that has been left behind

Storm

It's a stormy life
filled with gray clouds
with winds so strong they knock you
off your feet
You try to hold on but the force
just brings you down time and time again
It's a whirl wind of emotional devastation
The tree that once stood before me
has been up rooted
No longer does it stand with loving arms
The tears come down like pouring rain
with so much heartfelt pain
There they stay frozen as do the icicles
hanging off the rooftop
I feel the ice cold much to often
Oh how I long to feel the warmth
See your smile shine like the sun
The addiction is much like a storm
We try to rebuild but yet to get hit
with another

Hand and Hand

I see an old couple strolling hand and hand
With smiles as bright as the sun shine
It reminds me of how we use to be
When I could feel the roughness of your
over worked hands intertwined with mine
As we stroll I no longer feel the roughness
Only the breeze of the wind blowing through
my empty hand
