My Long Lost Friend

He was my best friend
His name was Snoopy
He was a beagle
My favorite pet.

I got him on Christmas day
He was just a little pup
I loved him so much
Then God took him away.

He was out hunting
He never came back
He was gone
Just like that.

I wonder every day
Where is he
Alive or…
Dead?

I still miss him so
I cry at night
Missing him
Missing him.

Rain

Do you know what I’m describing?
I’ll give you three clues.

It pitter-patters on the roof
Forms a rainbow that’s the truth.

Do you know what I’m describing?
Umbrellas are what it’s prescribing.

It’s falling, falling from the sky
And makes it hard to stay dry.

Do you know what I’m describing?
It’s the rain and it’s subsiding.

Rain, rain went away
Will it come another day?

I Am

I am a lover of monkeys
I wonder if I will ever see a real monkey
I hear them screeching from a distance
I see many species of monkeys running free
I want to catch a glimpse of a baby monkey
I am a lover of monkeys.

I pretend to be a monkey roaming in the rain forest
I feel the trees welcome me
I touch the rough branches as I climb
I worry that I may fall and never climb those trees again
I cry when the day ends and I may climb no more.

I am a lover of monkeys
I know I will die soon
I say I will climb til'' then
I dream that I go on forever
I hope this dream will never end
I am a lover of monkeys.

One Day

One day, one Day
I went out to play.

On that one day
I jumped off the hay.

While playing with Meg
I broke my leg.

That one summer day
When I jumped off the hay.
