All Creation Sings Forth His Praises

The trees stand tall
I hear the birds call,
Lo, all doth stand in awe,
Of thee!
The fields display
Such fine array,
Every color, every kind
Of flower you will find!
Gulls soar overhead,
A lone Heron doth stand
By the water's edge,
Patiently waiting for food.
My eyes are glued!
O Father, most Holy God,
As my feet have trod;
I do worship and praise Thee
Most sovereign God!

The Flower's of Spring Praise Him In Everything

This winding road
I've seen before,
What a welcome sight;
My soul shall make it's flight!
Puffy pussy willows,
And weeping willows,
The sound of a dove
Sings to the Father above.
I tread some more
On this brown and green floor,
With wings of prayer
For thou art there.
Then with much elation,
I bow in adoration,
For there on the ground
Look what I've found,
Mayflowers galore
On this brown and green floor,
I knew there was more
My Lord had in store!

Written March 21, 2006
With much snow on the ground I was deeply touched that in the bare ground patches
MAYFLOWERS were blooming.
Makes me praise our God of Creation!

I Dreamed....9) Birds In Flight

I've been awakened in the night;
I've just been soaring
To the height of heights;
You see it's one of those nights,
And my wings aren't taking flight!
Ooh, how I want to soar,
And it's only my mind that's soaring!
O please wait for me;
For over a thousand I see...
They're dipping and diving
All over the sky
And I'm still lying
On my back and could cry!
O birds of the air,
This isn't fair!
Give me your wings
For mine won't fly,
It's one of those things
And  now I think I know why;
You see it's only the birds who were meant to fly.
So goodbye, goodbye
Enjoy the sky
While I idely stand by!

Oh What Splendor !

The fields are dressed
In fine array,
The land is blest,
What a beautiful day!
There's the scarlet rose,
The buttercup glows.
THE birds do twitter
The dew doth glitter.
The bees buzz around,
And there's plenty of bugs...
There's every sound
In the land it hugs!
The Father of all,
Looks down in love,
For all things both great and small
Are sent from above!

O Sunshine

O to feel it's glow so warm
                                             Again,
                                             It's dropped so low.
                                             I shiver in the cold,
                                             I see pain in faces.....
                                             Hands over their ears.....
                                             Almost in tears!
                                             O sunshine,
To feel your glow so warm.....
                                            Why not come
And melt away this winter storm!
Warm us as the gold hearth fire.....
                                            Remedy our aches and chills
So that our faces brightly shine!
                                            O sunshine,
                                            Let us feel your glow
                                            So warm again!

It's Springtime In the Air

It 's springtime in the air
Flowers are popping up everywhere
Nature is waking
From winter's hibernation
Rivers are flowing
As the last of the snow
Is going
This knowing, I rejoice!
Birds are returning
What a welcome sign
They sing a chorus
On the power line
Pretee, pretee, pretee
Sings the Cardinal
In the red coat
Ne're missing a note
And over yonder
As I sit and ponder
I behold creation's beauty
God's handiwork of old!

Written Thursday March 15, 2012

In Burlington Ontario as I sat it the back yard admiring Crocus in full bloom and a male Cardinal's beautiful song from high up in the tree.

O what a variety of things you have made. Psalm 104:24

Beyond the City

What a nice drive today.

Good to get away,
From the city and it's noise....
To seek other joys,
And here in this solitude
Of a back country road,
My mind is glued
To what thou hath shown!
There's the glory of the sunlight
As it peeks through the trees,
As it shineth on them....
And there's that soft country breeze!
I can hear the sound
Of birds up above,
And on the ground.....
There's a squirrel and a dove.
There's the girgle of the brook,
And wherever I look, o Lord....
Thy beauty it shows!

Then It Is To Thee O Lord

When sunset's glory crowns
At eventide,
And the shades of night
Are drawing nigh,
It is to Thee O Lord
My heart shall cry.
When the night is long,
I lift my song to Thee,
The one who never
Slumbers nor sleeps,
Lo, He keeps my soul
Though the billows roll!
Then soon, twilight
Doth burst through
The open sky,
With splendor and light
O'er the horizon,
Then, too, my soul shall be rising.
Rising as the Eagles,
And soaring to the skies
Soaring on wings
Of prayer and praise
To the God of glory
To whom is worthy of all praise!

I will praise the Lord who counsels me, even at night my heart will instruct me. Psalm
15:7
