What Should I Do

Every mistake is accompanied by the whip.
No doubt,my tears I should keep.
Since kindergarten,I am told that I should succeed.
And to all their advices,I should pay heed.
I am told that I should achieve all my goals.
And say yes to all the no's.
I go to primary school.
Not even knowing why, but what should I do?
School to me is like a playing park.
But quite indelible in my mind it leaves a mark.
Words still a jumble,numbers a blur.
But I really don't care.
Come Grade 4!
I now know.
I start being serious with education.
Strength and determination,I all get it from consternation.
I hearken to what my parents say.
That while the sun is shining,I should make hay.
Come secondary,I am now grown up.
My mind is also now sharp!
I can now do difficult mathematical operations.
I listen with rapt attention to what the teacher mentions.
After secondary,I go to university.
My future is still lit.
I study and finish all my courses.
After this,I am ready to now start.
But I find that life is not easy to crack just like a hard nut.
I am jobless.
Perhaps now hopeless.
I find that education is not really the key to be successful.
But rather a good mind makes one to be gleeful.
Not only this but a good capital!
But what should I do now?
Where do I find it?
I don't even have money for meat.
This is my question, what should I do?
I repeat,what should I do?

The Youth

A chain of misfortunes.
A chapter of disappointments.
Dreams broken and many bereavements.
This is their daily bread.
Their worries never seem to fade.
What's their next choice?
Please hear out their voice.
They drink merely for effect not taste.
Then for a couple of hours, their minds will be at rest.
They say that they are now strangers to themselves.
But they don't know that the whiskey is a danger to their health.
They don't know that sanity is deserting them.
And upon themselves they are bringing shame.
Please help them stop.
And find a way with stress to cope.
