Just Suppose

Suppose the winds were never again to blow?
Suppose the rivers ceased to flow?
Suppose there never would be another spring?
Suppose a robin was unable to sing?
Just suppose. Just suppose.

Suppose the flowers could no longer bloom?
Suppose there would be no sun or moon?
Suppose the world stopped spinning around?
Just suppose. Just suppose.

Suppose the oceans would suddenly dry?
Suppose an eagle could no longer fly?
Suppose Love was suddenly lost?
Suppose we are left to suffer the cost?
Just suppose. Just suppose.

Have You Ever Stopped To Wonder?

HAVE YOU EVER STOPPED TO WONDER?

Have you ever stopped to wonder what heaven will be like?
...the mansion God has promised of beauty, splendor, and light.

Have you ever stopped to wonder when we cross that river of life?
We all will live forever: no more pain, or grief, or strife!

Have you ever stopped to wonder when our bodies He'll transform?
...changed and made immortal, like Jesus be conformed.

Have you ever stopped to wonder when His face at last we'll see?
Oh what a glorious vision; what bliss! What ecstasy!

Have you ever stopped to wonder the reason why He came?
...to give us life eternal by believing in His name.

Have you ever stopped to wonder how He suffered on that tree?
...stripped and whipped, and tortured, He died there for you and me.

Have you ever stopped to wonder?
Have you ever stopped?
Have you ever?
Have you?

One Day In April

I remember after three weeks of fasting
and praying with heart and soul,
pleading to The Lord that He help me,
that He hasten to me and console.

Then one day in April,
as I stood by a mighty river:
I looked and suddenly there before me,
appeared a vision that caused me to shiver.

The vision was about to speak to me.
I grew pale and weak with fright;
then fell to the ground face downward
unable to bear the sight.

His eyes were like pools of fire,
with feet and arms of polished brass;
and like the sound of a mass of people
His voice roared strong and vast.

He placed his hands upon me.
I was lifted up from the ground;
and as my knees were trembling,
the voice began to resound:

"Oh dear Daniel, beloved of God,
listen to what I have to say: Do not fear!
For I have been sent here
to answer your prayer this day."

"Soon a mighty battle will come to pass
evil powers will fight against The Lord;
but God's faithful will hold firm until the end...
then the righteous shall receive their reward at last."

Thank You For Lesser Blessings

I pray to The Lord to thank Him,
for gifts He provides each day.
A prayer of thanksgiving to Jesus,
for the blessings He sends my way.

I thank you Lord for the lesser things,
and not think it so odd,
for I know that even the smallest,
is given by The Grace of God.

Thank you for a stove and a pantry...
for a blanket, pillow, and bed...
for clean sheets, warm covers, and pajamas,
and sending my daily bread.

Thank you for washcloth and towels...
for soap, a tub, and sink...
for tube of toothpaste and toothbrush,
and a faucet of cold water to drink.

I have taken so much for granted,
hardly given it much thought,
but from now on I will pray to thank you Lord,
for these lesser blessings wrought.

I have prayed a prayer of thanksgiving,
for provisions The Lord has given;
may we promise and always remember,
to be grateful thankful children!

I Hear You! I Feel You! I See You Lord!

When I have reached the top of a heavenly mountain peak
and gaze down across the vast horizon,
I hear you Lord!

When I behold the beauty and design
of the majestic Colorado rocks
I fee you Lord!

When I witness the splendor of the Aspens
as their leaves flutter gently against the wind,
I see you Lord!

When a powerful towering waterfall
descends its running brook below,
I hear you Lord!

When the mighty ocean waves
come crashing onto the crystal sandy shore,
I feel you lord.

Every time the miracle of a rainbow appears,
or fluffy white clouds pass slowly across timeless skies,
I see you Lord!

In all of nature, in all its wonder, in all of creation,
no matter where I may go, whether on high or below,
I hear you! I feel you! I see you Lord!

When You Hold a Baby...

Are you lonely?
Are you sad?
Are you troubled?
Feelin' bad?

Are you worried?
Are you down?
Find yourself
on a merry-go-round?

Take away your sorrow.
Forget yesterday and tomorrow.
Your storm will turn to calm,
when you hold a baby in your arms.

They don't care if you're tall or short,
chubby or thin.
They don't care what you believe,
where you're from or the color of your skin.

They kick, they sigh, gurgle, and grin.
Oh what Love a baby brings!

So take away your sorrow.
Forget bout yesterday and tomorrow.
Your storm will turn to calm,
just hold a baby in your arms.

The Day of the Lord

A Prophet The Lord
has sent.
No time left
to awaken or repent.

The arrogant evil doers
will be stubble...
burn like a furnace
turned to rubble.

The prideful, the sinful
we'll defeat...
ashes
under the soles of our feet!

No root or branch
will be left,
only those who obeyed
shall be kept.

The sun of righteousness will rise,
with healing in its wings...
freed like calves from their stalls,
evermore to worship The King.

Reflections

IF ONLY I HAD THIS LIFE TO LIVE OVER AGAIN:

Oh the changes I would have made.
I would have gone sleigh riding in the winter's snow,
I would have realized the miracle of the rainbow...
gazed at a sunset across the meadow.
It seems not so very long ago.
Forgive me Lord. I just didn't know!

IF ONLY I HAD THIS LIFE TO LIVE OVER AGAIN:

Oh the changes I would have made.
I would have hiked through a forest and hugged a tree...
spent more time with friends and family...
learned the lesson of the honeybee.
Unawareness is such a tragedy;
I was blind and did not see!

IF ONLY I HAD THIS LIFE TO LIVE OVER AGAIN:

Oh the changes I would have made.
I would have reflected more on what would carryon...
that which would endure long after I was gone...
thanked The Lord for the gift of each new dawn...
discovered the purpose of being born...
regrets forever I will mourn.

IF ONLY I HAD THIS LIFE TO LIVE OVER AGAIN:

Oh what different choices I would have made.
I would have set my mind on things above...
laughed more, played more, and shared God's Love...
listened to the songs of the turtledove;
for this is what life is made of.
God is the hand and we are the glove.

My eyes are slowly closing.
Something is happening to me!
There's a Bright Light I see!
I feel such peace...a serenity!

Things Not Equal

THINGS NOT EQUAL

There are those who reach an age past 100,
while some never chanced to live.
There are those who share their blessings,
while some choose not to give.

There are those who have never gone hungry,
while some never survive.
There are those who find fame and fortune,
while some dreams shatter and die.

There are those who are rich and famous,
while some are poor and alone,
There are those with power and possessions,
while some are without a home.

There are those who are happy and healthy,
While some are sick and depressed.
There are those who believe life is the end,
while some say: “it was just a test!”

A Lament

I have swallowed the poison...
suffered through darkness.
I have tasted the ashes,
lived in utter lostness.

I remember the pain
when hitting bottom;
desperate I dreaded,
what I had become.

To be punished for sin,
how dare I complain!
Is The Lord not my life
from whence I came?

I have entered The Light!
My Soul has been taken.
God proves to be Faithful,
To The called He's awakened!
