In a Haiku mood,
Five, Seven, Five all day long
There is no escape

Life

The world is chaos,
And yet we still search for hope,
A light in the void

Northern Winter

There is snow at last,
Northern Lights dance in the sky,
The final season.

Snowfall

The dust of the Gods falls
With a certain sense of grace.

Unlike cousin Rain,
She does not fall
In lament,
Each splash of sorrow bringing life to barren ground.

Unlike cousin Hail,
She does not fall
In anger,
Each explosion of hatred colliding with that which binds.

No,
The white powder has pride,
She falls
For freedom,
Resisting gravity but not striking back at the foe,
Floating in silent peace,
Whilst dancing in extravagant jubilation,
She gently lands among her waiting sisters.

So Comes the New Year

Snow melts off the ground
Flowers grow where once was ice
The world starts anew

The Place I Call "home"

Alaska,
Harsh,
Unforgiving,
Cold,
Barren,
Deadly,
Mean,
Lovely,
Beautiful,
Providing,
Kind,
Pleasant,
Extravagant,
Home.

When Will It Stop?

Everlasting Hopelessness
Ever changing Despair
Every word that they suppress
Chokes my mind of air

Censorship
Like ice cold grip
Strangulation
Strange sensation
My head is fleeting
My hearts barely beating
To every fiber of my being

I cry out
I scream and shout
But the world, it wont stop turning
Just for one mind yearning

My energy has been depleted
I now know I've been defeated
Not striking back I have been seated

In the End

Unknowing,
Unfeeling,
Nothing,
Everything,
Empty,
Alone,
Forgotten,
Never was,
Never is,
Never will be,
Limbo.
