Melts In Your Mouth and Not In Your Hand.

Melts in your mouth and not in your hand.
Sure, as you wipe a variety of sticky colors onto your pants.
Life is a lie and the better you live all depends on how well you kiss the ass
of whoever is above you.
At the top of that social ladder is a shaky individual.
As unsteady and unsure as one can be.
Keeping them from falling those many miles to the ground is a loose grip.
Soon a person, big and tall, will reach the top to greet that individual.
The ladder sways to and forth, the weight is just to great.
The grip diminished and then completely gone.
Before another blink can pass a loud crash is heard down on the ground below.
The empty space allows the swaying to cease.
A confident person can replace the first and get their grip on the top rung.
Before they too are shaken to the ground by all the corruption.

Contemplate

What am I doing?
Where have I been?
Years have passed in the blink of an eye.
I now miss moments that passed me by.
My little babies are big and tall.
Before you know it, Girls will call.
I will protect, as any mother would,
her son’s precious heart
from the pains from being broken apart.
I will be there as the pieces mend,
offering my love that will never end.
A good example is what I need to be,
to show the boys what is “family”.
When I have failed, how can I preach?
With my emotional turmoil, what do I teach?
The commotion in my head, weighing rights from wrongs.
Spending too many days singing a sad, sad song.

I Wish I Had-

I wish I had…

A bit of your time
A bit of your love
Just to show me you care

A moment of your life
With me by your side

A piece of your heart
To cherish each night

A simple hello
Not a soon good-bye

A show of feeling
No need to be shy

A part of your life
I need in mine

A small portion of your love
I wish was mine!

Forever

Broken hearts take time to mend.
They count on most love from friends.
So called "Partners" come and go,
but friendship lasts forever; you know.

Every Dream Is Hopeless

The sun beats down upon my head burning away my dreams.
The stars shine bright without much light to sooth my weary eyes.
Darkness heals the pain inside and brings everything to rest.
Once again the sunlight interrupts the peace of night to shatter the dreams I hoped to keep.

Escape

Along the ocean I walk
Picking up stones along the way
Each one representing a soul
Who is no longer here today
Seeing how the memories fade
A tear comes to my eye
Soon I will be like a rock
With no one to mourn or cry
As the sun sinks into the sea
I continue down the waters bend
Darkness takes over the sky
An I hear the voices in my head
Telling me they could lead
Me to a better place – I shall go
Alone at peace I could be
No one would know
There I went – the place of happiness
The answer to end my fears
No longer did I walk along
No more were the tears
For in the water the voices said
Is where I wanted to be
The strong currants over my head
Brought me to the place
Where I could finally be free

Do You?

Do you ever feel alone?
Like no one will be there to protect you from your fears.
When you are alone, you no longer need to hide the tears.
It’s only you and a room, keeping away the outside world.
Soon the door will open, in the doorway stands a friend.
The darkness of night is calling you to come out and play.
The steal blade, heals the wounds of the passing day.
In the shadows, that friend runs so fast you can not keep up.
Leading you out of the room through the door,
But as you reach the doorway, the door slams shut.
Alone once again, until the angel of death
Lifts you away above the shadows.
