Child's Eyes

Have you ever seen the world through a child’s eyes, we used to.
We believed in heroes, saw no color, everyone was equal, we saw love.
Through adult eyes we see judgment, pride discrimination, we see hate.
Why do we need child’s eyes to live in a world of diversity?

The Sea

The sea is blue,
which is good when you’re blue.
You can make a wish,
while looking for a fish.
You can go for a swim,
if you know how to swim.
You can feel free,
while sitting under a tree.
You could go on a boat,
with your friend the goat.
You can feel the sand,
while it runs through your hand.
It is better than a pool.
because your no fool.
No matter what you do,
go to the sea to do.

Forgiveness

The darkness overshadows me.
I desperately look for light, but all is in vain.
Which awful sin deserves such punishment?
I plead for forgiveness, but no light.
In despair I weep, with no understanding of this darkness.
Why no forgiveness for me?
In the distance I see a flicker of light.
Awe the sweet sight of forgiveness.

Sadness

Sadness is the blood that flows through my veins.
It is cold but at times warm.
It awakens with me in the morning goes to sleep with me at night.
Sadness is my friend, my partner.
Sadness is jealous, selfish.
Sadness is afraid of losing you, manipulates your thoughts and feelings.
Sadness darkens anywhere you might find light.
Once sadness is in your blood you can’t fight it, its keeping you alive inside your lifeless world.

Time

I hear the clock ticking, but time is standing still.
I’m stuck in a past I can never undo.
My world revolves around what ifs, but what to resolve, but more ifs.
I need to feel the ticking to go on.
When time starts moving I ask what not?

Stepping Stones

Two worlds one filled with darkness and despair, the other color and laughter.
The only thing separating cracked stepping stones.
If only they were not cracked.
I could belong to that world full of happiness, instead doomed to a colorless world.
I weep knowing I can never cross over.
There are limits to what I can do.
Wait I have no limits.
No one can put limits on you but yourself.
I can walk on the sides not cracked.
As I step into this bright world with a sun that brightens the whole sky, flowers, green grass, and the best laughter.
I look around and realize I belonged here all along.
