Pray Again

Pray Again

Lord, please Listen to this humble plea,
I don't know why you should listen to me.

I have locked you out with my sins,
but with this prayer, my faith begins.

Please forgive this sinful man,
In your mercy, take my hand.

Change my Life to do your will,
Empty my Heart and Love please fill.

Make me a Friend to all mankind,
That's the richest Life I could find.

Don't let me error or fail to see,
That all men need to seek Thee.

I give my Life and all I own,
So I'll be in Heaven, near your Throne.

Please forgive me Lord, for much did I sin,
Even forgive me Just enough to barley get in.

At the end of this Prayer, I'll say amen,
If I am not changed, I'll pray again.

Please, please, Lord, Listen to me,
My Life and future, all depends on Thee.

Amen

Lady At Foot of the Cross

The Lady At The Foot Of The Cross

Walking to that place
Where time stood still and people were asking for His Grace
Her brown eyes shedding a tear
The Man she has loved will soon no longer be here

Looking down on her, she bows to Him
Her facial expressions growing sad and dim
She cries out to the LORD
For she has been favored Most adored

The angels bring her gladness
His death will not be the thing remembered last
His second coming is remembered by all
From Mary Magdalene to Paul

The lady is the Queen Mother
Her son Jesus Christ is Our Brother
Mary the Mother of God
You have walked where Heavenly angels have trod

Life Is Like a Rose

Life is like a Rose
by Terry Richardson

Life is like a Rose...
So Delicate and Fragile...
Yet so Strong and Enduring...
The Heart opens like a Rose...
On a Summery Dawn Morning...
Blossoming unto its Fullness...
When its in Love...
Withering Away when Heartbreak...
Falls upon It...
Mending its Branches...
As Winters Harsh Cold...
Puts a soothing Salve Over It...
Budding again Each New Spring...
To Renew and Start Again...

In My Mind

In My Mind
by Terry Richardson

Let me take you back to a time,
When all the world was sublime.

Imagine you find yourself In My Mind,
Don't know what you think you will find.

In My Mind a time capsule unto the past,
Which seems to have become so vast.

Living in the shadow of my dreams,
Now what to me so dreary seems.

For that bright hope to last,
One must hold the future fast.

But now that time is gone and past,
Sweet memories forgotten at the last.

Purple Heart

Purple Heart

It's what freedom cost,
Yet another family's lost.

Traces of a long forgotten war,
Willing participants to their own accord.

A coffin's flag to a son who gave his life,
So unafraid to die for the right.

Unspoken words echoes in silent action,
A sympathy for another's suffering compassion.

While his last battle has come to a end,
Us warrior poets write quickly to defend.

The parents never bragged about the Purple Heart,
His death was tearing their lives apart.

He died when he was only twenty seven,
I hope God saved a place for him in Heaven.

These gnarled hands that once held the terrible weapons of war,
Now beckoned for peace that we shall know war no more.

The hardships they suffered for liberty's sake we shall never know,
So much, so very much to each of these brave men and women we owe!

In Golden Silence

In Golden Silence
by Terry Richardson

I've seen you quite often,
Very seldom from afar.
I know your light is shinning,
High amongst the brightest of stars.

Silence is golden
and leaves no trace
of anything behind...

Not a single thought
to survive the night,
nor moment of reverie
to dwell upon or wish.

Not a stray beam
of loosened heartlight,
nor a single knowing glance
to softly bring within.

Not a gentle smile
to warm the way,
nor a passion fevered touch
to draw the breath deep.

Silence is golden
so the vibrant tones
of play and gentle music
may not be.

Not a simple whisper,
nor single heartbeat speak.
No spell of magic woven
nor brightness of spirit flowing.

In Golden Silence...
I weep.

In Vain

In Vain
by Terry Richardson

In vain this man does reap,
Through his sins he will weep.
From the tears of yesterday,
Which dim the pride of today.
In the hour of his disgrace,
Began a cry to embrace.
He seeks the Lord for pardon,
There in the secret garden.
Shall forgiveness mend the past,
And heal our hearts at last.
There is One who knows I’ve done wrong,
I pray He makes me strong.
His compassion works in wondrous perfection,
As He gives us the utmost affection.
To those who are hurting,
That have a need of converting.
With praise for Your compassionate ways,
Forgiving our sins and iniquities throughout our days.
We've faced many struggles in our short years of life,
Some were a great decision, some were a pain or strife.
As I get down on my knees,
In prayer I am hoping God will be pleased.
Past sins may still hound a few,
And yet so thankful God has found you.
Thy love is such I can not repay,
The heavens reward you abundance, I pray.

The Author

The Author
by Terry Richardson
The line between the real and unreal, is never sharply drawn.
And I'm still trying to decide, just which side you're on.
Dreams can come, and dreams can go, and sometimes dreams come true.
The trick is in telling which dreams are which, a knack that I once knew.
So I sit amid my thoughts, and I write down what I dream.
Letting my imagination run free, exploring variations on a theme.
Someday, someone will read these lines, and get a peek inside my mind.
I hope they'll see the magic there, and share the wonders that they find.

Forgiveness

Forgiveness I cannot ask
For the sins of my past
The regrets are to deep
All I can do is weep

Time has no cure
As the pain I endure
Comes at a price
When you indulge in vice

Its to late to say goodbye
Long after we die
Now my tears reach up to the sky
As every breath ends with a sigh

If I could just see your face
Lost once more without a trace
What could of been said
As the tears I shed

Only time will foretell
If we go to Heaven or Hell
You are always on my mind
Giving a love so rare and kind

Feeling so blue
My true love for you
Failed to come through
Is more than one can chew

On My Knees

On My Knees

I've been trying to do right, I've been trying to do right,
Struggling with sin all my life.

I'll get down on my knees,
Dear Lord want you hear my pleas.

Let my promise to atone,
All past mistakes of one's own.

Lord pardon me, or strike me, if you please,
I cannot be much lower than my knees.

Struggling with tears could this sorrow ease,
After words such as these.

A word with God in the early morning breeze,
Asked the Lord above for mercy, Save me if you please.

I surrender my will, I'm on my knees,
Just save me please, please.
