If I Should Die

“IF I SHOULD DIE”

If I should die before I wake
A new life in heaven I will have to make

So Thankful for the gift of God's enteral life
I’ve been freed from prison
No more longer struggle in strife

That vessel was left in ruin, always tired or in pain.
The lord showed his mercy, forgave my sins and then called my name

He said" it's time to go, here you can not stay "
"I promise to hold your hand, trust me I know the way "

We walked and talked awhile about everything in the book
Then he opened those pearly gates, and said, “your home go have look”.

Its true what they told me, one day we will all meet here
No more sorrow, no more sadness , and only joy filled tears

So now you understand if I should die before I wake,
Then it's God's will and not some cruel mistake

There are no words to ease you through this pain.
I'm sure you might go crazy , quiet possibly insainsan

Never loss your faith, don’t lose sight of righteous road
So when it comes your time, his hand you to will hold

Until then you should know, I'm never far away
In your heart and memories a piece of me will always stay

I promise to watch over you , so please don't cry anymore
I know some where there has to be a hole in heaven floor

I’ll stroll the street of gold until I finally can see
See your loving face looking back up at me
