Illusion

In the dark cold sea of life,
I was on the small boat rowing alone
coming from nowhere and going to nowhere,
The skies above me were cloudy,
And the silence that overwhelmed the place was unbearable.
Nothing was likely to happen to break the silence down,
But because my whole life was written on the old cold stone
I happened to find you,
I found the universal unspoken language used by everyone,
Both on the Earth down and in the heavens above.
It´s a beautiful language that flows from the heart.
Something older than humanity, more ancient than the sea,
Something that exerts the same force whenever two pairs of eyes meet.
I found you love,
I found you steady, confident and subtle.
O Love !!!
You enlighten my darkness,
You warm up my coldness,
You make me suffer though
O Love !!!
You have the power to heal,
You have the power to kill
And you have the power to turn into eternity a mere moment of life
O Love !!!
The murmur of your words in my ears,
makes me feel a woman,
makes me forget about me.
O Love !!!
Your words take me up to the highest heavens without wings,
Without Sinbad’s rugs.
Abruptly I find myself back in the cold sea of life.
O Love !!!
Your words build me a kingdom of illusion,
in which I dwell very few moments
to find myself again alone in the dark sea of life.
Yes, this is you Mr Love, a great "ignis fatuus",
O you who plays with the air the symphony of my life,
Turn my turmoils into lyrics and sing them out aloud.
To no soul, to no crowd.

Whisper

When the night spreads widely his wings,
He causes the dead dark to fall
Upon the miserable chilly chamber,
Upon the immortal hoary hunter,
Upon the teary tree
And somewhere
Out there
A dreary voice whispers loudly in no words,
‘It’s night and there is no light’.

When the night spreads widely his wings
He causes the unbroken silence to fall
Upon spring, upon summer, upon Fall
The heavens mutely weep,
Seeking the truth in their tears
And somewhere
Out there
A dreary voice whispers loudly in no words,
‘O Lord ! You I implore, I can’t take it anymore’.

The Land of My Dream

It was a new day
When I woke up in the morning
To find myself again in this tragic world
People are born to die,
The Sun rises to set,
The flower blossoms to wilt
And these are all what I see and hear about:
War,
Blood,
Death,
Grief,
Oppression,
Failure,
Infidelity
And lies
There is no place for love
There is no place for peace
There is no place for serenity
There is no place for optimism
There is no place for hope.
So I wish I could leave this unfair place
And fly away on the wings of imagination to the land of my dream
Where people love eachother
Where people feel for the other
Where the land is green
Where the air is clean
Where nothing is impossible
Where everything is possible
Where I am you
Where you are me
Where all is one, and one is all
Where both space and time are mine
Where my heart and my soul shine
Where everyone is really fine.
On the land of my dream
My past was good,
My present is better
And my future will be the best.

Shadows From the Past

Strident voices come to me
From all places,
From all times
To dwell in my head.
They are voices of the past that call upon me
Aloud,
Aloud,
Very aloud
To awaken the sleeping memories
To make them alive again
But,
Where is the past ?
Where is the good time I had ?
I looked for it
In old pictures,
In mirrors
Where are the people who used to be around ?
I looked for them
In all places,
Between the letters of their speech
In vain.
I walked down, all alone the narrow streets of life
Asking time to show me
Where the threads of the past exist ?
In green fields ?
In dark clouds ?
In the wise Sun ?
Or maybe within me ?
Yes,
It’s all in me
Just in me.
They are in my head
They are in my heart
They are in my veins
Everything leaves its eternal shadow
People,
Places,
Feelings,
Words,
Smiles,
Tears,
And later the waves bring them safe to me
Even thee,
Even me
In our turn will become a memory,
Faint shadows in the scheme of life
Life itself will turn into nothing but a memory,
A dark hollow in the vacuum of the universe
Either we accept it
Or not
This is an ancient tenet
And what gives beauty to our reality.

The Breeze of Remembering

The breeze of remembering those cheerful moments
Still knocks on the door with so many comments
With deep griefs, with great laments.

It takes the heart into a wonderful past,
Into an era that was not meant to last
And went with the flow of time so fast.

The enormous star’s brightness,
The past’s soul lightness,
Both left a brilliant scar on the darkness.

In the late hours of the night,
Out of all people’s sight,
The mind enters its endless fight

Between a groovy past and its feature
And an unknown gloomy future

There is no escape from fears
The real remedy is in tears

Fast and strong, this is how the stream of life goes
And in the mind of humans echoes.

How heavy, how light it is to hold the burden of bearing
The breeze of remembering.
