Eternally Crowned

I wake to the touch of a morning sun,
Softly teasing my eyes apart.
I feel your arms tighten around
Sealing yet another
Non existent space.
I turn around to face you
Feeling blessed for a millionth time.
I stare at your sleeping self
Murmuring a silent prayer of thanks…
At a dark dark time you were sent to me
To shed some light on my weakening being.
I held on tight to you secure hands
As u pulled me out of a painful mess…
I found the smile I thought I had lost
I found love so serene and pure
I found your eyes so full of care
As it healed so well my bruised soul..
I kiss your brow slow and soft
Anxious not to wake you up…
Tears form as to spell my love
I see your eyes open up
Just as a drop runs down my cheeks
I feel your hands brushing it off…
That I know is the art of love
I was gifted with
And eternally crowned…

For All You Know....

For all you know…
By Zahara Jawfer

A searing pain
Surrounds my heart
It feels like I’ve lost all hope…
I smile plays on my lips
It reaches not my aching soul…
I fake it away,
It works so well
For a moment I think
It hurts no more…
U keep talking
About her I know,
I’m listening to u
For all you know…
My heart’s weeping
And oh it’s paining
Just to hear u say
I love her so…
My sleepless nights
All those endless times
Come flashing back
And the pains so raw…
Tomorrow would dawn
To bring again
Memories of u
I haven’t burnt as yet...
I know you’d say
I love her so…
But do u know
I love you more…

Separate Ways...

Today this very day
We go our separate ways...
Is this the end??
It is Not they say,
Just the beginning
Of another phase,
Inevitable and unfair
As life has been always...
today i continue this journey
Leaving behind the smiles, warm hugs
All that laughter and fun
I would dearly cherish and amiss
Till the time id forever be gone...
I have to keep walking to uncover tomarrow,
Along the way i hope and pray
Just another familiar face
I might be blessed
To see again...
Today, this very day
Everything seems so dark...
My dear friends
Your memories though
Will forver light up my heart...

No More Tears

Vaguely aware
The rains pour…
She rests her head,
Staring straight through…
Her russet brown eyes
Glazed and wet,
A few more tears
Born and dead…
Her curly locks, a disarray,
A silhouette of misery
Veiling her exquisite visage…
She bit her lip, lines blur her face,
So acute and aware of the blazing pain…
She lifts her head, aggravated,
Wanting and needing to make it end...
A final tear steals its way
A moment of clarity
Dawns and stays….
