Robert Bryan De Jesus Poem
this is your recipe for adobo:
a portion of brain --- yours.
don't have one?
take mine.
a piece of your lungs --- no wait.
here's a cigarette: spice.
take a teaspoon of tears ---
yes, yours.
turn it into stone --- this my
teacher told me.
your concoction is ready: stir,
stir hard.
now try it --- just try.
you'll need it later.
when you break your heart,
it will come in handy.
by then you will need that portion
of brain: think,
think good things.
that piece of smoked lung --- breathe,
slowly.
that tear that is stone: melt it
into tears again: cry

Robert Bryan De Jesus Poem
swing, my brother
and swig
your liver, brown -
sink your teeth into mine
bermuda grass in my brain
yet again
and the left plank
stands out. again.
here we are, both
shooting arrows blind
or are we just spineless?

Robert Bryan De Jesus Poem
it only takes a sideward
glance
to see you wave; my
peripathetic mind
takes in that sight of you.
pain is but a stroke of luck
and the decency of the hour
id just a sideward glance that reminds
me of my nature
today i awoke with the consuming
knowledge that i would
abhor every passing minute
you, so far up there, and i,
alone...
it makes me wonder, such a
distressing thought,
if by any chance you think of me too.

Robert Bryan De Jesus Poem
i burn
i indulge in the fire
of my slitherin ride into you
indescribable warmth
that touches,
smoothens the
toughness in me
and conjures up
libidinous urges
that cannot be smothered
i am distraught
nothing has ever felt
so prodigiously agreeable
my wobbly hand
slides slowly along
the evenness of your
long, velvety arm
sure as you and i
are there
the ephemeral bliss
that is supposed to be
is lengthened
drawn out
to fulfill our
handsome desire
to be one

Robert Bryan De Jesus Poem
tell me that
when i held your hand
you did not
squirm
that when you
saw me come
with the white rose in
my hand
you did not smile
tell me that
you did not long
for me to kiss you
on second thought
don't tell me
i won't believe you

Robert Bryan De Jesus Poem
you are a thief
you walk by me
and take a part of me
with you as you go
you steal from me
didn't u steal my
eyes
questioning seeking
wanting
and mt throat
that's dry now because
it seeks whimpers like
a child
you stole my skin
that feels like it's not
mine anymore, it's yours
my legs that always
lead me closer to your direction
dinfing nothing but you
and my lips you took them
your name is their
creed
you stole me
you are a thief
