Friends

I remember when we were growing up and the first day I started school.
I was nervous as could be, and then you walked in trying to be so cool.

As the year progressed we became very close, and you took me
under your wing, and I think thats what I admired about you the most.

I remember by the time we reached middle school people thought we were
related, and as I think back about how shy I was and how I am now just
makes me elated.

By the time we reached high school we did just about everything together,
and vowed that even after graduation no matter what we would remain friends
forever.

College came and we both knew that we would regret this day, for I knew
you were the smarter one therefor I knew we would have to go our sererate
ways.

The years have past and time has been good to us. Both or us married, kids
our health, and our friendship still in tact is better than any amout of wealth.

People say time goes on and accept things for the way that they are,
but I'm here to tell you our friendship will never change, and I know
that in my heart because no matter what the distance we were friends
from the very start.

Red Sox Nation

Baseball is over I'm sad to say
But the good thing is our sox went all the way.

From the start of Spring Training they decided to re-vamp,
and thats why the Red Sox are the 2007 World Series Champs.

From the begining to the end our team kept us on yhe edge of our seats,
but Red Sox Nation is loyality to say the least.

Tell Me Why

Tell me why men and women go to war.
Tell me why they die for causes that know one has an explaination for.

Tell me why we rush to the aid of homeless and hungry people not from
the United States.
Tell me why our homeless and hungry dont get the same treatment and
our elected leaders will tell you its still up for debate.

Tell me why the elderly should have to decide to choose to get food or
medication.
Tell me why they have a disease where they cant remember their name
or the last time they went on vacation.

Tell me why I use to pay for gas with the money i had in my pocket.
Tell me why now not only do the oil bigwigs get richer, but I now I have to
also lock it.

Tell me why people that retired years ago are suppose to enjoy the golden years.
Tell me why now those same people are working again just to survive and exsist
from there worst fears.

So some one please tell me why these same questions get asked over
and over with no certain reply.
I guess we will never know with any certainty any answers,so untill then I'll just
ask please tell me why.

Ode To Women

I cant figure out why women are such a puzzeling sex to men.
I think its like the three letter word, we say when, and you say how long
has it been?

I especially love it when they say " oh I'm not high maintenance" and
I need to get this and that done as we scratch our heads and say is it me
or is she the only one.

When we go out we pick any old thing we have on hand, and women say
"Oh I have to get something new" and it probably cost more than our wedding
bands.

We guys go and spend ten bucks on a haircut and a shave, but when you go its
an all day affair and cost so much I have to ask for a raise.

So men we are left to ponder and sworn to never concede,
but I find its easier not to argue and just give them what they need.

Men Tell Me Why

For reasons I'll never know tell me why men will never admit that they ever cry?

Why do we hide our feelings and try to keep them in check?
Maybe thats why we feel like Rodney Dangerfield and get little or no respect.

We try to be macho and tuff in front of all our friends,
then when asked if your buying your girl some flowers and we say that all
depends.

We can go out with the boys and drink a few beers, but ask us to stop for
directions and that is one of our biggest fears.

Well ladies I can understand why you think man is a puzzeling machine,
but I'm here to tell you this one is different, and this I really do mean.

So if given the chance I'd like to show I'm different and give you lots of love and
attention, just please let me do the driving if we go for a ride and don't ask
me to stop for directions.

Remember Life

Life as we know is precious and should never underscore
what we have according to text.

For reasons we never realize the ones we love
and adore are here one moment and gone in the next.

We should remember them for all their accomplishments
and joy they brought into our lives.

Give strength to those who were family and friends,
give hope to all those who had children and wives.

So remember those who have left us, and as we pray with heavy hearts
always remember the good times we had ,and when you feel sad that will be a
good place to start.

Ode To Edna

Every morning you greeted us with a smile.
Even when you were out of sorts and it may have taken you a while.

You treated every customer always the same,
and in most cases you even knew their names.

I think I will miss you the most because you were who you are,
and I can honestly say I'm glad I knew you and in my heart you will not be far.

Rain

The harshness of winter has finally past.
Springtime is upon us finally at last.
No more dulldrums of winter to tax my brain, and the season I love the best
espically the rain.

I could sit and watch as the flowers and the trees flurish and bloom,
and I know that because of natures miracles all the colors will be out soon.

Finally I love to walk out ,and look up,and feel the rain trickle on my face,
take off my shoes and socks and jump from puddle to puddle all ove the place.

But at last all good things must come to an end. The sun is coming out and
gone is the rain, my friend.
As I sit on the porch with the sun glistening in my eyes, I cant help but wonder
how long before the next storm comes by.

Your Inner You

As you walk through lifes traveled roads,
every step you take gets you closer to your goals.

Dont ever loose site of the challenges that lie ahead,
for the answers you need are in front of you, like a book
that must be read.

So remember as you take lifes journeys through all thats
thick and thin, all the answers you will ever need come from
you,deep within.

Remembering Tonya

To our Dear Tonya, its been six years since you left us today,
and yet as time passes these are just a few things we wanted to say.

You always inspired all who you touched, even if you were just hanging
with friends you were loved by all so very much.

Your passion for modeling made all who viewed you wonder with awe,
and with all your gracious moves revealed all the inner beauty that we all saw.

It was Gods wish that he took you from us at such an early age,
but we know in our hearts he had plans for you to be on a much higher stage.

So to our our darling Tonya we love and miss you and are always in our hearts,
for you will always and forever be a part of our lives like you were from the very
start.
