Better Days

Sat on the ground today
Felt like I needed to fly away
Everything I did was wrong
Maybe I just don't belong
Tried to focus on my career
But you complained about the year
I want to do what I think is right
But you just say goodnight
Maybe tomorrow will be better
If not, I'll just write a letter

What Do You Want From Me

What do you want from me
Is there something you want me to see
Just ask
Don't make it a never ending task
Don't give up your life
What about your wife
She loves you
Don't make her blue
Quit following me
Let me be
I don't want me picture taken
But I do take me hot chocolate shaken
I can't seem to get away
Oh, by the way
I'm not rich and I'm not famous
But my name is Amos

Step One

I don't know why
You said goodbye
We were so in love
You were my life, my sweet little dove
I thought we would be together forever
But my worst came when you said never
I didn't want your money
I wanted to call you honey
Now that your gone, I'll lost my mind
I'm caught in a bind
I've been swept away
I'm forced to face another day
I don't think I can go on
Guess I'll go back to step one

Things I'Ll Truely Miss

The tenderness of your kiss
All the things I'll truly miss
The beauty of the day
The sky that's far away
All the stars in the sky
Every plane that passes by
The stillness of the sea
A reflection of me
Everybody that I love
Each a beautiful dove

End of the Year

There's the hill
Here's another bill
The taxes are due
Look at my face, it's blue
The kids need to get to school
But I'm out of it like some fool
I'm late for work
And I'm called a jerk
I want to go home
but I'm still paying on a loan
Finally, five o'clock is here
And guess what, it's the end of the year

Everywhere

The heavens opened up
To let new souls in
The terrorist knew what to expect
But they didn't win

The plans were made
And put into motion
The towers were hit
And along came the commotion

Tears were here
And tears were there
But this tragedy was heard
Everywhere
