Paul Baracani Poem
ugly
homeless
dogs
expectations
turned concrete
she-wolves
vanity is
very discreate

Paul Baracani Poem
It was a grave day
as they took
him away-
away from hope-the charter
of a new day
He was a fixture on the corner
seems-he'd been there forever
The locals knew him by name
everyone else-
relished their disdain
He was a medic in Nam
saw more death
than anyone
This frozen day
all his words
had fallen away
to a silence so complete
it had knocked him
off his
feet

Paul Baracani Poem
The warmth of your skin
melts your cold eyes
into pools
of jewels
to be devoured
I have walked
your
pearly-towers
embraced you among
the freshly cut flowers
Bathed in fragrance
and spread on silk
I have fallen
beneath your guilt
into worlds so fragile
I nearly broke-
where fertile
fields
of desire evoke
this fleeting
embrace
sweet-kiss
of eternal hope
