The Living Must Go On Living

We look ahead, forward we see
Blank, nothing, loneliness
Heartache and pain
Yet, on we must go, forward-free
Continue ahead with no plan to follow
Strive on through to the rays of tomorrow
Throw off the past, a bad disease
Everything new
Look away from the color blue

Unreal

The black cat leaps across the road
It's worst enemy snapping at it's heels
Thud
Wounded cat pulls itself across the white line
Too late, hind legs dragging lifelessly behind
Half filled with life and the will to survive
Half dead and broken
Struggling to survive, his blood spills as does human
Life leaks out

The body lies in ICU
The life still beating through her
The life, machines provide
Thoughts are gone
Mindless, nothing
As good as dead
The life is pumped in
Unreal

Serial killer caught in the act
Fighting, struggle
The priest grasps hold on the gun
The killer is dead
Long black robes rustle in the wind
Praying over the body
The priest's cross breaks from his neck
Lands on the bloodied dirt
Gods work with Satans sword
The Child is saved

Blocked

Poet's eyes
Closed by reality
Hands bound by housework
Insanity prolonged by repetition
Exit door locked
Key lost in yesterday
Can it be found?

A copy of a life once lived may be
But is it reality for you?

Conformity, the angel of death to a free spirit
Raising its head to modern day life

Fairytale dreams of revolution cloud dreams
As life soars on the clouds of the future
We take another step into tomorrow

Nothing more to conclude
Nothing more to imagine
Nothing more to give
Society has won
One more tally on the score sheet
One more person driven insane

Life

Acid tears plough ditches down cheeks
Holes in the soul leak life's candy like blood
Handcuffed to reality, pain seeps in
An alcoholic grabs the neck of a bottle

A flesh wound to the soul
The wall of feathers blown down
The lock cracked, the monster uncaged
Demon fed by the guillotine of love
Revenge it's only passion

A cocoon has produced a snake
The stranger inside you now leads you to the cliffs edge
Don't slip
A kiss lands cold upon your cheek; death turns away

Needle raindrops of insanity pierce your reality
Frustrated and imagined, you throw yourself to the ground
The floor of cracked glass you created shatters
you crash, fall back to the beginning

Golden grass of experience cushions your fall
Life's destiny known solely to the hands of fate
Tears saturate your eyes; the fix you long for
Again

You rush to hide your chickens before the storm
Barn struck by lightening, afire is all
Flames charge the heavens, tempting Hell
Gaurdian angel fallen
Nothing

Turmoil weakens your cruelty
You kick the black cat from your path

A grave digger unearths a tomb
To see the bones but not the people

Light a candle to see only what you wish
Preception is nine- tenths of reality

All left unsaid, undone, unheard
Now but an echo into eternity

Wind

No buddy cares as I scream
Nobuddy cares as I cry
I shout into the wind
And in return it sighs

I have but one real friend in life
And it does not have a face or a name
But with it, I am never to blame

It whips
It tares
It stares
It cries
It is everywhere
Always
Watching my tears dry

It comforts me and watches me
AsI scream and cry
And one day it shall watch me
As I crumpled to the ground and die

The Wind

Yesterday

As we stumble into Oblivion
Not wanting to be in today
We do all we can
Without being able to bring back Yesterday

As we wish for the past
And try to make the good days last
We cry out for Yesterday

We look at the faces
So real and true
That remind us today is today
And tomorrow is too soon

At times we pray
That today wasn't today
And stare behind ,at our steps
That behind us forever lay
Back in the times, of our Yesterday

We look ahead to the future, straining to see
So sort of sign
That isn't bleakness but glee
That lies ahead, in tomorrows Yesterdays
And seeing nothing
We bring sadness into today
As we slowly drift away
And watch tomorrow become today
We long for the understanding, of Yesterday

Shadow

As I walk along
Silent as can be
I see my shadow
Chasing after me

Another person it seems to be
I feel a chill race upon me
What if my shadow wants to hurt me?

My shadow and I
So alike and real
Are one in the same
But still I feel

That part of me represents my shame
And I am unable
To throw off the chains

That bind me to my shadow
And it to me
I guess never will we, be free

Rainbow

Red
Blood spilling from the body
A child, only trying to cross the road
A car is coming
death predicted, inevitable
Fate

Orange
A beautiful sunset
as it sinks beneath the peaks of trees
It shows day has passed
Darkness creeps in
New life takes over
Colors change to black and grey
Evil

Yellow
An innocent daisy mixed with blood
A necessary component
To lighten up sinister red
Into the calamity of orange
A medium

Green
A reptile
Scales of green cruelty
Survival
A dragging undertow,
Can you swim?

Blue
Water
Reflected from the sky
Clear in reality
90% of the human body
The part that makes blood run

Indigo
A lighter shade of purple
Color of lilacs
Weak, frail
Dying quickly
Short lived

Violet
A lone flower
Pulling upwards from the earth
Seeing sunlight
Growth

Rainbow of life
