Premium Member A TREASURED WORK OF ART

How is it a family portrait…drawn with stick figures in crayon
with a sun and what looks like some clouds up in the sky
can make you smile…
touch your heart…
and bring a teardrop to your eye?

Could it be you know the artist
his work is familiar to you?
Could it be you love the artist…
and the artist loves you too?

Which is why a family portrait drawn in crayon…
can bring a teardrop to your eye
make you smile
touch your heart
and why it now hangs on your refrigerator…
as a treasured work of art.

Premium Member work in progress

as life happens we react
then sense consciousness contract
which is good because we learn
to overcome ego’s burn

though life seems like a circus
we are here for a purpose
and when love’s flame is steady
to meet God we are ready

Premium Member Is poem wrirting real work?

There once was a girl full of perk,
Whose dad thought her poem some quirk,
But she said with a grin,
“An essay on bin,
With school snacks – that’s real work, not just work!”

Premium Member What Makes Man Go

What’s in man that makes him go

Is it the satisfaction of the craftsman
Or the drive for more dough

Ask the baker ~ He may just know

Premium Member Standing proud

My dad had thirteen siblings
worked for every thing he ever got
many hand-me-downs but no handouts

Premium Member One Side of the Story

Adored by all the plants and trees,
but forsaken by his wife,
he loved the sound of a gentle breeze,
and gave the grasses life.
When she said, "time to mow the lawn",
he knew which side that he was on.

Premium Member Charlie Church

Praying we should never cease
God will provide the increase

As He will strike the Sheppard
And scatter the sheep
So we pray with the psalmist
That God will awake and not sleep

For all of us, Christ has some work
Even as He did for Charlie Kirk

Jesus secured our security
Now be a person after God's maturity
God created this convocated community
This calling together in the perfect Tri-Unity

Song about Business Analysis

I map the vision, chase the need,
Between the lines, I plant the seed.
From stakeholders to strategy,
I am the bridge - that's BA me!

(chorus)
We ask, we link, we write it clear,
Align the goals, wipe out the fear.
No cape, no code, but still we thrive -
Business Analysts keep dreams alive!

Align with teams, architecture too,
Assumptions challenge 'till they are true.
Deadlines loom, the scope may sprawl -
But here we are, who see it all.

Emotional Buffet 5

On the road I try each guise,
Today I’ll meet them with new eyes.

Life has left me time to spare,
I bring some idleness to share.

Some may perish in this flame,
I live on gladly, all the same.

A boundless show, yet sweet refrain,
Their voice keeps singing out my name.

Are these feelings just in vain?
Still alone, to them I wend my way again.

Premium Member sitting and vegging

I could sit and veg in this chair all day
there are other tasks, there’s another way
living room is darkened and so I stay
I’m getting older, turning soft and gray

I’d never have done this back in the day
used to dance all day with a hey hey hey!
I would have never sat, or prone lay
Yet now here I sit, feeling okay

Premium Member DAILY GRATITUDE HARD WORK, PATIENCE AND LUCK

I am grateful for the combination of hard work,
patience and luck
because I am experienced enough to know
If I work hard
and am patient
eventually
I’ll find the place where the four leaf clover grows.

End of Summer 01-09-25

Wearily the sun collects
its rays from a box.
Back to the office.

Arbeit Macht Frei

The first weakening of night
picks out telephone lines,
black against sky.

The eyelid of a garage door
lurches laboriously up.
A car coughs blue breath.

With aerosols and plastic scrapers
clandestine delights of frostwebs
are raked to chemical sludge.

Starter motors whine.
Windshields cloud with pain.
Gears grind teeth.

An electric train
gingerly
utters inarticulate from the sheds,
groaning over cold joints.
Thinking grimly
of tunnels ahead,
it flares with ill-humor
crossing the points.

On unworked land beside the track,
a fox is heading home.
Gliding through
beneath the "keep out" sign,
he grins at the engine,
which just judders along,
headlights trained
on parallel lines
which glint ahead,
reflecting lurid signal red,
extending out, but never meeting,
towards the vanishing point.

MENTAL HEALTH II

Protect your mental health
Even on your job
When your employer try
To bully and take advantage
My mistreating you and
Invading your personal life
And space after work hours
