Here the heart brakes a little bit! Checking on poet's to find out that they've been gone or at best are not posting anymore.I just discovered some that I would love to praise and thank profusely for touching my heart again with the loving touch of perfectly placed sentiment and words. But where are they now.You do know I miss you don't you.I miss you, everyone and my heart breaks a little bit with the thought that you may not come again

You hand to me…
A rose
A rose most red
Behind you are…
Two roses
Both roses white
Silently said…
Two white roses
Are each of us
And the red rose
Is our love
I grab all three roses…
A rose pierces my skin
Blood spills…
Representing
Our dedication
To one another
This sentiment…
I am touched
By the love shown
And by the piercing
A love greater…
Now that we’re together
May our hearts
Carry roses
With dedication
Thank you…
For sharing your love
Silent
But caring love

within acoustic shadow invisible to the world a man of Silence
hostiles shudder of his life's strength , figurative mind wealth
sentiment beneath his fingers touch flourish draped in dreams
1/5/2020
I had to write this after the contest without his knowledge.
This poem was written in tribute to Silent One. A man who sees beauty in everything. He articulates his poetry with imagery, deep emotions within him. I am very proud to know him not only as a poet, but as a friend, a brother, a son. He has been there through my deep hurt and enjoyable times of life the past 4 years. Thank you Silent One.

You have ignited a great fire in me
This love affair I could not conceive
All of the normality I have believed
Seems to be a false pretense
You revealed to me
The authentic process of sentiment
My introspective is always of you
Never in several centuries
Did I think these emotions
Would develop to be factual
This feels so natural
You have revealed a creditable future
The thought of being hurt again
Is only an illusion ...of the past
Not sure if I’m ready for this task
Of a flourishing relationship
And having your love
As if it was sent from above
You have enkindled this
Abundant fire in me
Thank you for healing me

Words of love have many spills, harboring heartbreaks in their chills,
Birds of song upon yonder hills, singing sorrows amongst the daffodils…
We get lost within adoration, whirlpools drowning waters of flirtation,
Debris of love in mutation, with pendulous promises in rapid rotation…
Sunny days that slowly fade, lovers lost amidst their sentiment shade,
Honeydews that have been sprayed, only dilute as they stand decayed…
Whispers of love that evaporate, as the malevolent minds do magistrate,
Twisters surround and obliterate, the love we once had we watch deflate.

Despair of spectres whispered, John heard it muttered
Fears spoken, centuries of shame sunk into stone
Hanging tree hoisted him, feet above ground fluttered
Rope bound neck bulged, blood starved eyes shuttered
Aghast, entertainment starved spectators absorbed gore
Under his breath they heard it uttered,
" I am among the lowliest, and the last"
Sentiment collected by authorities, soon to outlaw
Heinous hangings of criminals and martyrs
Testiment to the cruelty, trademark of cessation
Clouds of purest doves spun above the atrociousity
Tyburn' s turbulent history viewed at Marble Arch
Has John's pledge to thank for returning compassion

"with thoughts of you"
from the moment we part I count the time
the time when I see your face once again
such sands run slow almost as if knowing
knowing I wait to return to your embrace
when the moment arrives I view only you
such a garden built could never be finer
finer from a world full with all her charm
such sentiment I shall eternally express
express to you with diamonds and pearls
mindful of what stands before me is true
now the sands continue to fall once again
once again with them flowing steadily fast
realizing our time to part now lies before us
before us like skies shedding tears of rain
knowing passion grows with thoughts of you

Suitcase in hand, a face polarized against
the frosted window pane, searching verily
for continuity of a life that knew no restraint.
Someone’s Grandfather a considerate Uncle,
life’s situation upon the wane, a link within
the prejudicial chain of forfeited souls.
One’s transitions ablaze in the haze, an index
to summarize each hiatus gaze, grappling to come
to terms with this enforced deed of human kindness.
Guided by caring hands, assembled around the room
each demising chair, filled tidily with expressions
of doom and gloom, here where silence specifies
many words, and lifelong sentiment never heard. Yet
I see an old man in remembrance of his youth —
worth listening to if allowed to speak!*
*Thank you Richard Lamoureux. for the inspiration and line.

There's no sentiment in business
loyalty counts for nothing at all
my employers couldn't care less
but there's no chance that I'll crawl
I'm nobody's whipping boy to hell with them
they won't ware me down, no surrender
these people are wrong, I'm not scum
I will protect my rights, I will always remember
the thank you mate, I owe you one
can you stay late, change your holiday,
now those favours are forgotten all gone
but we're really sorry to let you go, they say
your experience has no consequence now
things have changed, we have progressed
this is wrong, this is not right I can't allow
this kind of oppression, or am I obsessed,
just yesterdays man on the scrap heap,
all the hard work that they got so cheap.
Someone or something, replaceable.

A sentimental sentiment
Is part of my prevailing mood;
A consequential condiment
To my exquisite interlude.
A perfect penetration made
Within experience sublime
Eliminates the faded shade
That marks the tragedy of time.
I stand alone in private thought
(euphoric on this earthen day)
receiving all that I have sought
as proud production comes my way.
To find serene serenity
Inside this simple mind of mine
Brings forth a pure tranquility
Refined by light within to shine.
Achieved with solitary ease
A state of bliss I now have found;
Resigned to bliss, consigned to please,
A soul transcendent and profound.
I thank the teaching of the muse
Who then, in gentle quietude,
Committed to me rules to use
Applied and tried in solitude.
A man set free from pain and tears
As vectors changed within life's flight;
Then love's sweet peace replaced his fears
With clarity of perfect sight.

Relaxing myself midst a worthy accomplishment
of checking essays which became a rigorous engagement…
I drifted a while for a festive entitlement
recalling such ‘laugh-out-loud’ moment
melting teacher’s stern sentiment
on antonyms predicament
when a student in his sober deportment
mentioned with a jubilant tone of achievement
“opinion and conclusion are opposites” along wit’s settlement…
Then he explained, devoid of embarrassment
“open and close are antonyms”: that’s no wonderment…*

Blessed with scent-lavished fulfillment
I thank God for sense of smell’s* endowment
allowing my nose to optimize daily goodness merriment
while feasting on fragrances wafting pleasurable bestowment…
Morning greets with awesome “floral blossom” spray freshness moment
Oh, my special child’s “tangerine” shampoo offers refreshment

after favorite “bubble gum” toothpaste’s settlement...
I’m pampered with cooling “pepper mint” body scrub treatment
then “aloe vera” prevails for my preferred organic enjoyment
not forgetting “citrus” in its moisturizing engagement

never setting aside “coconut” with healing sentiment
soothed by “chamomile” inducing my sleep and prayer commitment.

Key Verse – Job 19:8 He hath fenced up my way…
MY GOD, THANK YOU FOR FENCING UP MY WAY
Thank You for fencing up my way against selfish ambition
Toward Your sure direction
As You guide my decision
For me to fulfill Your assigned function.
Thank You for fencing up my way against destructive idleness
Toward Your diligence-earnestness
As You subdue my slothfulness
For me to vanquish laziness.
Thank You for fencing up my way against arrogant hypocrisy
Toward Your truth’s persistency
As You prevail over my pretense-leniency
For me to overcome laxity with godly fervency.
Thank You for fencing up my way against attacking discouragement
Toward Your revival’s fulfillment
As You rebuke my fearfulness’ sentiment
For me to subdue sin-caused despair of worthless predicament.
Thank You for fencing up my way against tempting evil
Toward Your holiness’ hill
As You sanctify my separation from the wiles of the devil
For me to be strong in doing Your will.
Thank You for fencing up my way against lustful impurity
Toward Your purification from iniquity
As You cleanse my soul while I confess with sincerity
For me to live by Your grace through Your compassionate authority.

Songs of Louis
Capart
-by Bob Atkinson
simple phrases
satisfy
although messages
pass me by
deep within the
voice of sentiment
moves a heart toward
contentment
driving again down a
road
ample farms of crops
unknown
to Dijon up from
Paris
could have been just
any place
City of Light still
inspires
six story limit
gives up an aura
expanding
possibilities for
space
room for sidewalk
dining tables
Treff am Rex written
on pages
a story told of
feckless craving
someday bright
screen will show
how heart's desire
grows and grows
Capart's voice
transcends my mind
could be from any
decade past
language used to
paint the sun
drives in toward all
meanings of
past good times or
future fun
satisfaction sipping
a coffee cup
successful endeavor
or busted run
no matter, has all
been fun
no matter now, all
will wait
for this album to
run its pace
settled feelings of
quiet grace
all bodes well, no
wild cast rage
thank you Capart for
morning mood
of my time within
mind's groove
language meaning
escapes my thought
yet this feeling
ever locks
me into awareness of
satisfaction
allowed this morning
from reaction
to words describing
your desire
to entertain with
heart filled fire

May 30 Scripture Meditations Based on Psalms 116-118
Key Verse – Psalm 116:7 Return unto thy rest, O my soul; for the LORD hath dealt bountifully with thee.
MY GOD, THANK YOU FOR DEALING BOUNTIFULLY WITH ME
Thank You for dealing bountifully with me for my soul’s delight
Midst humanistic insight
As well as secular intellectual height---
I need You always throughout holy fight.
Thank You for dealing bountifully with me for my heart’s cleansing
Midst worldly displeasing
As well as devastating transgressing---
I need You always throughout worshipful praising.
Thank You for dealing bountifully with me for my faith’s maturity
Midst weakening uncertainty
As well as vexing insecurity---
I need You always throughout glorious eternity.
Thank You for dealing bountifully with me for my spirit’s revival
Midst backsliding arrival
As well as wearying survival---
I need You always throughout righteous revival.
Thank You for dealing bountifully with me for my standard’s upliftment
Midst downgrading sentiment
As well as indecent involvement---
I need You always throughout prudent improvement.
Thank You for dealing bountifully with me for my ministry’s fruitfulness
Midst threatening barrenness
As well as alluring slothfulness---
I need You always throughout effective industriousness.

My mom and dad fought in World War 2
They made it home…which is every soldiers aim
I didn’t know them before their war but I imagine they didn’t come back the same.
I had friends who were drafted…and Vietnam is where they fought
some of them made it home…some of them did not.
I have never been to war..never once stood at attention or at ease…
so I can’t imagine the fear in war one feels and horrors in a war one sees.
When I see someone who is fighting or has fought in war
I want to let them know I’m grateful…but I’m always a little nervous
I don’t want to put them on the spot..
So I usually say, “Thank you for your service.”
But, ‘thank you for your service’ never seems to be enough
and I’m sure they’ve heard this sentiment a thousand times before…
so I’ve always wished I could come up with a little something more
Until today when I heard a man in the store addressing
a veteran with what I hope is the perfect form of blessing:
He said to the veteran…thank you for your service…
which, as I said, in most cases would suffice…
but then he added I want you to know I try my best to be worth your sacrifice.
So I hope I have the courage each time I see a veteran
to take this man’s sentiment…and every time rebirth it….
To thank him or her for their service…
then look them in the eye and say
I hope I have been worth it.

When comes an encouragement
Heart really gets enjoyment
It cancels every resentment
Laying for hope a basement
Life daily suffers bombardment
Comes to boost no compliment
Gloom lives in heart-compartment
Memory brings only disappointment
I see the souls living on pavement
And I wonder God's life-management
Many live with really no employment
Giving to poverty an appointment
Under this vast God's firmament
All the souls have disagreement
Peace of mind is never permanent
No Universal laws' enactment
Loving is not done with commitment
Lives are not lived with involvement
In heart, happens no improvement
Only wickedness is in brain-segment
Affection is an invisible ointment
Loving is the best temperament
Kindness does lovely anointment
Mercy is the greasing sentiment
When heart attains contentment
Soul will never foolishly lament
As 'enough' is the finest element
Bringing bliss equal to an elephant
Helping is the holiest entertainment
Patting saves from a sad predicament
Prayer appeals to God's department
God arranges for a safe settlement
When God is there to affectionately cement
Great ideas, we surely can easily invent
Tragedies' occurrence, we can ever prevent
In case we supply hope to kindly augment
Using soothing language if we supplement
We will contribute to souls' betterment
Mr. Jack Ellison has made a kind comment
So to thank him this poetry is now meant.

See it through for what it is
Don't let sentiment be anything but new
Events fall hand over fist
From mountains of distance with no point of view
Between talking about and having done
There will be a place for you
If the future should come to pass
Y'know, most likely, well I'll be long, long gone
Live suddenly then follow
Though better sense might say stay at home
When certainty becomes all but the rule
There will be a place for you
When you've been pushed
so overdrawn, exposed
You would thank the stars
for a place of your own
How with the salt in your eyes
Will you see me when all of the clouds are gone
'May take the white noise of lies
To recover your poise n' your passion
When certainty becomes all but the rule
And inaction would be the way of a fool
Between making a fuss and pressing on
There will be a place for you

MY GOD, THANK YOU FOR YOUR EMPOWERING HELP
Thank You for Your empowering help-assistance
That handles me well despite my pride’s resistance
And self-exalted feeling of esteemed importance…
Forgive me please with Your pardon’s redemption-inheritance.
Thank You for Your empowering help-aid
That upholds me despite my sinfulness, foolishly-made
And annoying guilt of restlessness’ raid…
Forgive me please with Your mercies that never fade.
Thank You for Your empowering help-appointment
That seeks me despite my hiding discouragement
And frustrated spirit of agonizing sentiment-predicament…
Forgive me please with Your grace-fulfillment.
Thank You for Your empowering help-affirmation
That secures me despite my confusion
And wavering faith of weak conviction…
Forgive me please with Your love and compassion.
Thank You for Your empowering help-access
That reaches out to me despite my stubbornness-caused curses
And obvious disobedience of rebelliousness’ traces…
Forgive me please with Your chastisement-care’s success.
Thank You for Your empowering help-anchor
That props me up despite my bitterness-rancor
And destructive envy of jealousy’s decor…
Forgive me please with Your fellowship’s succor.

Metrical Tale

The land you grow on is His,
As water is, sunlight is;
And I'm but a care keeper
And claim to be no owner,
I raise crops blest by His bliss…
He says, heart gone to each plant,
Each makes him feel so pleasant
He strokes them with tender hands,
Two long-lost souls as old friends—
A friendship that feels no lent!
Wishes well, fruits and flowers,
Admires beauty of bowers,
To fresh buds, fragrant blossom,
With praise ever so handsome,
And keen advice he showers:
A season there’s to mature,
Heed to haste nor waste, be sure—
Enemies that kill childhood,
Cherish, long as lasts and good,
It helps old age to endure,
Nor wither before your time
Ere your growth reaches its prime,
He walks on to feel young fruits:
Never miss to thank your roots,
Growth’s fine, but roots only rhyme.
Seeds and leaves as do all else,
Each its success story tells,
Ungrateful O never be,
Be a proud offspring of tree,
Bear in mind till ring loud bells.
And whilst gardener's wards nodded,
A pregnant breeze, yon, wafted:
His nature is to nurture,
Not to heed, Nature’s nature,
Rare if advice is heeded.

Poet’s Notes: With loving hands and heart a gardener nurtures a garden. He treats greens as living beings, as they really are, and tends to counsel them with well-meaning words. But even from my not so sound knowledge of gardening I know: not to heed humans is Nature’s nature, a sentiment that reflects in the last two lines of this poem.

April 28 Scripture Meditations Based on Psalms 5-8
Key Verse – Psalm 5:11 But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee.
MY GOD, THANK YOU FOR DEFENDING ME
Thank You for defending me as You consider my meditation
By giving ear to my words of supplication
Truly hearkening unto the voice of my cry and lamentation
Indeed hearing me and my prayers’ intention.
Thank You for defending me as You direct my choices
By guiding me to look up against curses
Truly bringing me to Your pleasure that blesses
Indeed pulling me away from wicked places.
Thank You for defending me as You drive my faithfulness
By propelling me to come into Your righteousness
Truly guiding me through Your counsels’ truthfulness
Indeed compassing me with Your favor’s pleasantness.
Thank You for defending me as You heal my sin-ailment
By forgiving me with Your mercy’s fulfillment
Truly rebuking me not in Your anger’s sentiment
Indeed delivering me from spoiling with Your loving chastisement.
Thank You for defending me as You pardon my iniquity
By cleansing me of my transgressions’ infirmity
Truly sanctifying me from evil’s enmity
Indeed purifying me with Your holiness’ purity.
Thank You for defending me as You visit my stewardship
By attending to me through Your sovereign partnership
Truly communing with me around Your fellowship
Indeed helping me to serve You well by Your leadership.

As I dance my way around the room,
mingling freely here and there,
a stranger approaches as I say hello
to a friend nearby.
"Are you here with a date," she asks.
To which I reply that I'm not.
"Then dance with my friend!"
I think to myself, and say aloud,
"Sure, why not?"
And with nothing more than that
and an introduction,
the night begins.
We dance to the beat
of music I don't listen to,
we dance along using
moves I don't know,
and we dance in a place
where we can barely hear each other,
and yet, we dance on into this remarkable night,
flawlessly.
Curvaceous hips sway before me,
flowing in silk and shimmering in white.
A dazzling smile flashes across my view,
gorgeous and quick to show.
Shining brown eyes flutter and suck me in,
glittering at every meeting with mine.
Velvety arms draw me tighter to her,
beckoning me on in these heavenly revels.
My pulse quickens and draws to a halt,
time standing still for these glorious moments.
I wish it could just go on for good,
this night of mystical entrancement.
Alas, such is not to be,
and she prepares to vanish,
like a ghost that was never truly there.
I lean in close and say,
"Well. Even if you're about to leave,
I think you are quite lovely,
and I want to thank you
for a wonderful night."
She returns the sentiment,
and onward we dance, to song's end,
and to a reluctant parting.
As she turns away
with not a further word,
I stop her with a gentle tug of her hand,
and kiss it softly goodbye.
She graces me once more
with that eager, blessed smile,
and then is no more,
an ephemeral memory
forevermore.
