Wonderful Writer's Block From 20yrs Ago

20 years ago, I attempted this "sonnet" (c) Deo

Ebullient, animated anticipation
That delicious delay as I await the words
Precious and precise cascades of persuasion
In reference, refrain, in resonance of records
I have waited weeks, fattening into a month
Although words come, I have not seen the monsoon rain
Years ago, I would curse my nation, heart and mouth
Alone I have fought with hate; deepened my own pain
My pink brother is beautiful: the ladies rays
Of one SUN, daughters of ISHTAR, Seetha, Mary
Know that growing toward love, from hate, is longer
If done alone: "Go beyond victim and victory;
Think Community." Thank yo to Felix Adler**
I'm awaiting an audience, not a metaphor.

**NOTE:
I was born to a family taken as indented servants "slaves" to South Africa. I hated segregation & apartheid. Then America gave me a chance (1983, but I came back to my land!) To & fro in USA, circa 2005 I became a member of the Baltimore & Washington chapters of Felix Adler's "ETHICAL SOCIETY: we spell God with two O's". I have become a Pentecostal Pastor since, and I could not write this poem today, in literary terms or ideological terms. I'm a Bible conservative, not racial or political conservative. The Bible says JESUS is LORD, so I refuse "other gods," especially Hindu teachers - gurus - who start out talking about God then somehow get folks to worship them, humans!
