Best Peonies Poems
Peonies plum and white
on the table of grace
at nigh sundown's scarlet;
greet the hour with fragrance
as dusk becomes starlit.
Peonies plum and white
bring joy to the evening
of gold tinged memory,
from the gemmed purple vault
of old time's treasury.
Peonies plum and white
from the sunlit glory
of peach, satin breezes;
frills in vanity's vase
with a charm that pleases.
Peonies plum and white
in a hint of gold rays
at evening of the noon;
as grape shadows turn black
in shadows of the moon.

I saw a pretty garden today full of pink peonies. It brought back a sweet
memory of my mother's garden. I can still see us in her beautiful garden
trimming. Later, we would sit in the shade admiring our work . . .
the softest of pink
heavy flowers that droop down-
butterflies flutter

From deep winter slumber, she slowly awakes, and a fresh cycle starts with rebirth.
By spring, tiny shoots in deep ruby red, set out to emerge from the earth.
A passel of stems grows healthy and strong, encouraging leaves to unfurl.
And young baby buds beginning to form, look perfectly round as a pearl.
Magnificent blossoms in striking dark pink, have now all begun to bloom.
A glorious show she displays every year, enhanced by her sweet perfume.
Now flowering is done, and swept by the wind, her once vibrant petals have gone.
But glossy green foliage continues to grow and lasts nearly all summer long.

Frilled edges of flora in bloom
Along my garden’s fences
Sweet scent of peony perfume
Invades my senses
They dance on stately stems
Pink skirts ruffled at their hems

"I must have flowers, always, always."
Quote -Claude Monet
Peonies, so lovely in my garden growing,
showy beauties that can live a hundred years;
love most- pink coloured blooms overflowing,
and recall them in mothers garden with tears.
Oh, intoxicating scents drift in the air,
they adore morn' sun and afternoon shade;
these sweet blooms thrive with little care,
I am always sad to see them fade.

peonies bring back memories of my mum
her flower patch and gifted green thumb
from merely one fragrant bloom
its scent filled the room
imbuing
sweet
fragrances
to each fresh bouquet
she’d proudly put on display
on seeing one, there’s but one outcome,
peonies bring back memories of my mum

Pink, with elegant, sun-loving petals, scented,
plush and lush, like hued nebulae, suspended.
Preoccupied with visitors, south wind and rain,
plum butterflies and more, ever coming again!
Pretty prestige; minty green, garden's delight,
Pearly pink buds, under nomad clouds of white,
Peaceful in nature, like a silvery moon at night.

The peonies by the front porch are gone
Late this year they lingered, never fading,
Reds, pinks, and white made warm bouquets
For the gravesites of family and friends in May.
The honeybees feasted on the peony blooms
As did the ants who love their sweet nectar,
Until rains came and plundered the petals
The peonies by the front porch are gone.

a generous bouquet
of sumptuous peonies
if you please
gracing the parlour
in all its splendour
it’s tea time
we’ve brought out
the lace cloths
the best china
and warm scones
for our dear friends
